if you do, DON'T put a return address on it (geeez), you will be added to a 'list' and then have fun trying to travel LOL.

For added fun, put someone you hate as a return address. Swill 2 turds with one flush.

That plays right into TPB hands. Everyone laugh, forget it and do nothing to actually voice an opinion or decision.

Im not American but that clip of those shoes being thrown at Bush was so funny. I Soooooooo wanted at least one of them to hit him, that would have been even funnier! Yes Im all for a massive pile of shoes on the Whitehouse lawn, and as they cleared them theyd only wake up the next morning to yet more shoes.

Once again, what are you accomplishing by sending shoes to the white house? lol. Sending shoes to someone who will never see them, news will probably barely mention if at all... how is that voicing an opinion or making any type of decision?? Im not following your reasoning. NOT sending shoes means playing into TPB hands? Sorry... I dont think so.

Because every single thread can't be a serious mind altering calorie busting debate. A few light threads keeps things fun.

Lighten up!

The President was assulted. You think it is funny. I think you are offensive.

Change BUSH to OBAMA you would be screaming and still blame Bush.

Send shoes. It makes your sad life feel full...super.

I'm pretty sure the White House will be ****ed off about this...

I mean, sure, I hate Bush, but think of the ramifications before you do something silly.

I'll even put it in a scenario that might cross the minds of WH security staff:

Bush is about to leave office, surprisingly he survived both terms.

Oh wait, hundreds of small white boxes are appearing in the mail. Lets evacuate for each one and send in the bomb squad because it is part of procedure.

Damn domestic terrorists. Even though it was a false alarm, lets raise the terror level and impose new laws anyway.

As someone else mentioned... don't put your return address on them. If the media beats it up enough you might find yourself in trouble.

I sure the powers would see this playing right into the need for the Patriot Act, etc. As someone mentioned it might be seen as a great opportunity for a bombing. Those sending would be terrorists disrupting the country.

As for the assault on Bush, some will see it that way. Gee, I wonder how the Iraqis see his deeds to their country. They get to live with an huge American embassy / fortress in the country and a most likely never ending presence of the US.

I think that is offensive. He was assaulted by a shoe. THAT'S FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No broken bones and no bleeding, otherwise go for it.

Haahaa, you are such a confused human being.
How full can your life be when you have no idea
where you stand.

Perhaps rather than "us" sending shoes we could ask the families of those in the armed forces that have been killed to send an item of their loved one's clothing or a pair of their shoes..........? Or even, the families of civilians killed in Afghanistan or Iraq?

After all, we're talking symbolic gestures here.........
