For home defense, have you considered a 12guage pump?
Good ones are as reliable as can be. A wide assortment of loads avail from birdshot to mag slugs and buck shot. Will stop anyone with the right
load. Don't have to as accurate as with a pistol / rifle / sub. Buying one doesn't have to break the bank.
Also, the sound of a shell being chambered in one and the effect of having the business end pointed at you... it has been reported that alone has been
enough to send bad guys running at times without even pulling the trigger.
I know both Remmington and Mossberg make good versions.

Point? Don't support the weapon firms of foreign countries! There is no point to a 2nd Amendment if all the US gun makers go broke and gunsmiths disappear. Have a little pride in what you shoot and try to buy American whenever possible.

uzi / med caliber semis expensive and most people arn't train to useand after fist bullet most ruond would be 15 feet over there head. best home defrense 20 gauge with #4 or buck shot for women, 12 gauge with buck for guys. if in urban center lever action in pistol caliber with matching 6 inch pistol best for what most people would face.

Buck and slugs are not good loads for home defense inside the house. Both can go through multiple walls and hit unintended targets, for which you will be responsible. At ranges found inside a house, 20-30 feet, any size shot will be tight and essentially a "loose slug." Smaller shot, #'s 4, 6, or 7.5 will be highly effective on unarmored personnel and will not penetrate both sides of an interior wall. Buck and slugs will penetrate interior walls and modern, non-brick exterior walls, endangering your family and neighbors. Buckshot will generally pattern on a man-sized target out to about 50 yards or so; slugs are better beyond that distance. One common tactic is to load the magazine so the first few shots are #4 and the last two are buck. Keep the mag full and the chamber empty, safety taped 'off' so a quick pump will get you ready. When you leave the house, unload and hide the ammo or you may find yourself facing your own loaded gun. If you have children, rethink this whole issue because they are more likely to be injured by your weapon than someone else's.
