Barack H. Obama is just that Barack H. Obama, Barry Soetoro or whatever he is. He won the vote on Nov 4th. He hasnt be confirmed by Electoral College till tommorrow and anything can happen there.

George Bush is still President till around noon Jan 20, 2009 so as if now hes still my President and Barack is just a normal man waiting to take his new job GET OVER IT! mans not even a Senator anymore

Office of President Elect hahahahaahaha its the funniest thing I ever heard, its not a real office.

Heres mine: Office of Future President Elect hahahahaaahaha I will turn this country around, its easy and most dont even realize.

OBama, Bush, Clinton nothing will change Obama is just more of the same extended Clinton reign now that is fact!

Obama is very different than Bush... seriously I think you need to lay off the cynicism. Obama is a different person, has different ideas, and can talk without making constant speech errors all the time. I wouldn't judge Obama that much just yet. He is not anywhere near the same as Bush. Now if you're going to say that he works for the same institution than maybe you might have a better time at convincing me with your argument.

I didn't vote for him, but once he's sworn in, I'll support him to the best of my ability, as long as his decisions don't go against my beliefs. When that happens, I will write him a polite letter, which I am sure will be ignored, or answered with a form letter.
I too, am tired of all of the arguement about where he was born. His mother was a citizen, which automatically makes him a citizen. He has the right to run for office of President and serve. I don't think natural born means you have to be born on American Soil.

Every time I get on here, theres new threads about some BS story of how president obama wont make it to office.

Well, he's made it one more step. The Electoral College voted on Monday and he got ALL the votes he won during the campaign.

Obama Wins, Part II

The result was the same, with Mr. Obama winning 365 to John McCain's 173.

The next step is that the votes will be officially tallied on January 6th and he will officially become the president-elect.

It seems to me that this thread was intended to get something started. Maybe I'm wrong about that. Obama is now officially President elect and will be sworn in January 20th at noon. People can and will talk about him just like people have talked about other Presidents before and after they served their terms. There's nothing to get over. We will say what we feel and what we have heard. There will be conspiracies about Obama. Believe me when I say there will be no getting over our President. He will be watched, talked about, scrutinized etc... So why should we get over Obama being President? It just doesn't work that way in America. I don't think any of us will sit back and just let the President do as he pleases and not say anything about it. The conspiracies are out there and will be until the next President is elected. Nope, no getting over it for me.

Rebuilding roads and bridges as Obama's big help means that all those who are skilled in bridge and road work will get help. Does the average Joe work in the bridge building and road building sectors of the economy?

There is a need for architects, masons, stone cutters, heavy equipment operators, concrete layers, and other specialists. In addition, there will be many jobs that don't require specialized skills that can be filled by anyone willing to work. Even the guy who directs the traffic will have a job.

That's not to mention all the industries related to infrastructure building and maintenance from tool and dye makers, to those who sell rocks and gravel, to industries that make and repair the heavy machinery, to concrete and tar suppliers, to machinery parts suppliers and on and on.

Obama plans to do more work on the infrastructure than roads and bridges, like repairing and maintaining schools, etc. That would require painters, carpenters, skilled and unskilled construction workers, floor tile makers and layers, all sorts of building materials manufacturers and suppliers and on and on.

Not to mention that all these people who are working and supplying are getting paid and buying more commodities, putting money back into the economy.

It's "trickle up" economics.

Franklin D. Roosevelt did much the same thing during the Great Depression with the Civilian Conservation Corps, the Works Projects Administration and so on. It worked then. It can work now.

It is not a conspiracy, because there is NO evidence showing that Obama was born in America.
