Ah this made me smile...! My little creature comforts would include..... Loo paper....of course, and shower gel. Toothpaste...my favourite vegan kind. Moisturiser...can't have wrinkles *ever* Bean, rice, tomatoes, coconut milk in the cupboard. Lady Grey tea.....yum! The Internet... And stationery...notebooks, drawing paper, pencils, pens, rulers...all the stuff....it's a genetic obsession that I've inherited...I love paper! I could happily get snowed in if I have all of this to occupy me. I'm hoping I do in January! Cait

:-)

beans, rice, definitely - I've lived exclusively on them before - prepared to do it again

Lady Grey - after Irish Breakfast - my favorite

art supplies - absolutely

I love getting snowed in too - especially if the electricity goes out - which it hardly ever does

but something about the quiet of the snow - and the missing electrical buzz of appliances - very nice

here's an ignorant question - vegan toothpaste?

please tell me they don't make regular toothpaste with critters

Toilet Paper

If I didn't have that; I simply wouldn't want to live!!

Oh yes. I was thinking of all the things that might be great to have and never once did I think about going to the bathroom. Personally, I think I have to put toilet paper at the top of my list; and in the middle and again at the bottom. Thanks for reminding me.

Well my laptop crashed on the 3rd December, only just got back up and running on the 19th December…so I would definitely say, without a shadow of a doubt…My Laptop and Internet connection…working lol

I’ve had the pleasure of the company of females recently, not that it’s a rare thing lol…to cut a long story short; they’ve kind of got me hooked on chocolate, of the dark variety lol

Anyway that’s enough rambling…here’s my esteemed list…

1 Laptop + internet connection
2 Dark Chocolate
3 A good book + dictionary
4 A comfortable bed
5 Solar powered torch (in case the lights go out lol )
6 Clean water

7 Pure orange juice, red wine, and Earl Grey tea
8 Toilet paper
9 Heat
10 Electric shaver or razor
11 Toothbrush
12 Pocket chess set (In case things get really rough, like getting snowed in
)

I hope I haven’t forgotten something

16 days without a computer? how did you do it?

absolutely - me too - my computer

I'm having some serious issues this week - and from what I've been able to find out so far - not gonna be just an inexpensive glitch

whatever will I do?

Pure orange juice, red wine, and Earl Grey tea

3 in 1? red wine would also be on mine - but coffee still comes first

and - dark chocolate is a harsh mistress - good luck with that :-)

1. Cheese
2. Starbucks
3. Scotch
4. Ipod

All I need is those four things and you can send me out to Chad butt naked and I would be fine.

"how did you do it?" simply put…I didn’t do it ! lol

Well it wasn’t easy getting through the waking cold sweats lol (Just Joking)

Seriously though it was tough, but Christmas was fast approaching and took my mind of it a little bit, with deciding what presents to get family and friends etc… Actually most of my time was spent trying to get my laptop fixed.

3 in 1? red wine would also be on mine - but coffee still comes first

Don’t worry it’s not a special cocktail, I have been working on lol I thought I would group all the liquids together, seemed like a good idea at the time.

"Coffee is not my cup of tea"
that’s a famous quote but I cant remember who said it.

I’m trying to work my way of the dark chocolate slowly; I just don’t think it’s right for a guy to be hooked on dark chocolate, it’s not very macho lol

I hope that glitch somehow works in your favor
My friend once phoned up the internet provider and told them that while they were away for a few days, the kids had been messing around on the internet lol. I think they got a slight reduction on there bill…It’s a long shot but it might be worth a try

Beautiful day today, mid 60s, clear and sunny

Where you be Spiramirabilis?

it had never occurred to me before - and now it saddens me to realize how many men may be going without chocolate because it would compromise the status of their masculinity

I worry - what other lovely things do men deny themselves for this same reason?

:-)

enlighten us

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a guy having the occasional bar of chocolate but being hooked on chocolate is regarded as more of a female thing
Maybe they should make a male chocolate bar that has a cool and macho image on it.

The only thing I can think of, off the top of my head is moisturizer lol Although I bought a shaving kit a few years back and it came complete with a bottle of moisturizer. I guess the world was saying "Hey guy’s it’s ok to use moisturizer now"
lol

if we were really to get past the pleasantries - and into brass tacks - these would be my main concerns also:

A job - to pay for it all

A roof

Pet food

Everything else is just kind of extra...but need the above material things...

fortunately family, friends - those things don't (necessarily) disappear in hard times

in fact - I can see all of us reassessing the value of everything - including our family and friends

NOT crazy - I like clean too :-)

I can put up with a lot of physical discomfort - but I will really start to whine if I can't get clean

these are the things I like to hear :-) the very favorite things people really enjoy

funny how this usually ends up on everyone's list - far more often than TV - or even movies

Without my servants and yard people; life would just be unbearable.
If I don't have people I can criticize and abuse, I'm just not happy!

I think I mentioned toilet paper earlier, but it bears repeating.
