I agree, I think the detail should have had him on the ground as soon as he attempted to throw the first one.
Good news is that anyone with an application in at the US Secret Service, there might be some openings soon.

We can only hope that this journalist will have his testicles electrocuted in some secret prison somewhere.
Freedom will never surrender!

A state visit by the President of the USA , depending on the country , his secuirty team are not allways armed - and if they are they cannot go around
shooting people when they want to - they would be arrested for murder and a whole fur ball opened up; thats the way the law works;
say the president of ukraine goes to the usa , an anti-ukraine person throws a coke bottle at her and her security team blows that person away , what
would the reaction by the local police be?
and the same would happen in iraq - which is why they didn`t open fire

Hey that first shoe was dead on and moving fast. I would like to see any of you avoid a shoe thrown about as hard as he could right at your face an
duck it...hehe
Second one was a little high but the aim was dead on too.
On the second one it was no way going to hit Bush...you can see him up on his toes like he was getting ready for a serve in tennis.
Just think if that was Saddam instead of Bush....

Now that I have gone over this many times, and must say this makes a point about the so called freedom they now have in Iraq.
This goes to play out, in our minds, this would have NEVER happened under Sadam! He would have gutted the man right there yes?
Now since its a "free" society. Guys can throw shoes, and it makes a very strong point. And its more propaganda for your mind.
Good show though! almost hit him in the face, even if that wasnt the plan, the guy came close! and threw it pretty hard.

Finally I found the whole video that being broadcast on Arab Channels
I didn't see this version of video on any American channel
Personally I guess it's not a setup
Notice the Arabic Speaking Guards shouting "Tafi El Camerat" "Turn Off The Cameras"

Google Translate
The whole episode gives a new meaning to "Sabotage", that's for sure. In many Muslim cultures throwing shoes at people is highly insulting to the
target, as shoes are dirty. Kind of like Bush's foreign policy.

btw, getting thrown by any thing when your doing a public speech is insulting to any one in the whole freaken world even if your getting thrown by a
milkshake!! even if your not doing a public speech and your just walking in street and some dude passing with a car and throws a milkshake at you,
imagine a pair of shoes Size 10 and sure with "Sand" in them gets thrown at you when your doing a pubic speech
are you guys kidding yourselves it's not an Arab or a Muslim ultimate insult
it's an insult to every one.

I salute dude for doing what he did, but damn man. At least take some target practice prior.

Ya this was humerous and all but, are we missing the point, this reporter stood up to one of the most powerfull men in the world to bring awareness to
the innocent victims (widows and children) of this "WAR" I am sure that he knew ahead of time that there would be grave consiquences for making this
statemant in the manner that he did.
From what I understand this type of insult (throwing a shoe) is far greater in there culture than spitting in someones face would be here in the USA,
it is considered vulgar, something along the lines of throwing human feces in someone face.
It is just my opinion but, I would have liked the Pres. to have addressed the point the reporter was trying (although in a poor way) to make, rather
than laughing it off.
PS> it will now be requeird that shoes are removed at the airport and press mettings.
