oh yeah? but what about the shoe bomber?? huh?? what about him?

LOL funny
yeah.. but i wasn't meaning it to be funny.
are you even thinking? or have you been completely lobotomized by the media.
you have to take off your freaking shoes just to go from boston to NY.
because they think you might have a bomb in your shoe.
because they think you might want to kill your fellow americans for some stupid unrational insane reason.
but... it's OKAY for a guy in a press conference near our president.. in the land that we're at WAR with.. to ...
stand up...
throw his shoe at the president..
throw his other shoe at the president...
and only then.. after both offences have occured.. only THEN..
does the door open.. and secret service emerge.. as if they were busy having coffees backstage with the local belly dancer harem.
do you people even think about these sorts of things???
COMPARE THE SITUATIONS FOOLS!!!
you're being strip searched on planes.. under suspect that you're trying to kill random strangers of your own countryhood...
vs
a national from the country we're at war with.. and have been RAVAGING.. allowed to do this to our president....
ALLOWED
so where's the statement??
whats this message "hitting hardest"???
that our secret service is "too incompetent" (on purpose) thus needs to be "stronger now?"
or you're a bunch of idiots to let yourself be strip searched because you konw they aren't taking it seriously.. when some dude can throw 2 shoes
and almost hit the prez
think about it !

Probably because he was not allowed. After all the Secret Service are looking for weapons, not shoes. Or it could all be a setup since the Secret
Service was slow to react, they didn't shoot the "journalist" when he threw an object that could have been perceived as a grenade, and Bush told
the Secret Service to not to arrest him and take him to Gitmo.
All I know
In Muslim tradition, where to throw a shoe at someone or their image, or to hit someone with a shoe, is the highest insult
he wanted to insult him not kill him, it has something to do with the sole of ones shoe

I want to know what happened to the shoes?
If they weren't given back, I think they should auction those puppies off on ebay or something.
Or maybe Bush will keep them for himself, and display them in his presidential library?

This man is not as stupid as he appears...listen to his response to a reporter after the fact in the original video link.
Bush, the son of an ex pres/ex cia director, is not an idiot. I respect Bush for his intelligence, although hardly shown in overt ways, but I respect
the Iraqi who threw his shoes even more.
Bush, in his retort to the incident, speaks of symptoms. Likening the shoe throwing incident to giving the finger or ''going to a political rally
and being yelled at''. He frames the incident as the Iraqi trying to find a way to draw attention to himself.
The way bush talks about a free society and his whole demeanor make me sick. How he can virtually ignore that things that he has done have directly
ruined the lives of human beings across the world. I wish someone would terrorize people like george bush and his goons instead of innocent human
beings around the world.
