I am surprised that his security team allowed this to happen, well at least the second shoe being thrown.
Following on from the Shoe Bomber case from Britain and his attempt to light explosives in his shoes on a plane, this may have been a lot worse!
I wonder if all shoe heels are checked before such conferences?
Anyhow to the Arab world as shown in the article this is a real insult, and is equivalent to a westerner giving the middle finger or spitting at some one.
Obviously the journalist was not a good aim, and I doubt very much if he will get a pass for any such future conferences, he might even wake up in Guantamino Bay tomorrow, until it is closed down.
