Alright all my favorite ATSers. You all are going to love this one...

If you look at all the changes being made in Barack Obama's (Bam-A-Lam) Cabinet, there is one that hasn't changed. Though there are still seats open, this one suprises me.

The Secretary of Defense. The man who headed the military for Georgie W... The man who reigned through September 11th... Robert M. Gates will be there for another 4 years (at least).

Can anyone explain to me how this is a good idea? Or is this keeping a key figure in place for more attrocaties to come?

Opinions and theories are (as always) welcome. What are your thoghts?

Okay I think you need to seriously take a step back and look at the Bush administration pre 9/11 Don Rumsfield was indeed his first secretary of defense. Mr Gates I belive has only taken over in the past 18 months or so. Please get factual information correct before you decide to spew nonsense.

It's already been mentioned, but Gates didn't reign thru 9-11, Rummy did.
