Hmm if he does get the funding to progress, wonder if the thing will have facial expressions, real hair, heck maybe even be as wild as suggest it have real skin? Maybe someone can make a breakthrough in future to allow skin to live on the skeletal frame kinda like on the terminator .

Real skin would be the best in terms of makeing it human like, not to mention when they have sex, he can pretend it is a real woman lol.

Putting aside the very worrying sexual overtones, the robot itself is amazing. I can't wait for the future when androids show us around buildings or look after the disabled. Robot girlfriend though? I think i prefer the real thing.

yeaaa, that's what I got out of this too. Considering if Le Trung introduces it as a "girlfriend" - right there....if he said it was his robot "assistant" or robot "Help aid" this would not have even been that creepy of an Issue.

Someone's been watching too much of Buffy season five.

This actually makes a lot of sense. With so many lonely men out there with the money and resources to do this it’s amazing that more haven’t done so yet. The now popular sex bots are only the first step toward creating your own perfect partner. Personally not my thing, I honesty would never be satisfied with an android, but I could see why someone would create one for sex or companionship, it definitely isn’t the weirdest concept out there.

I find it interesting looking over this thread. A lot of guys like the idea while women feel threatened. Ladies do you really want a guy who would even consider having a life with a doll over you? My significant other is grossed out by these and other “toys” and while I don’t think they are that weird I’m ecstatic that the thought of a real companion who can question him, and show him real love, and have his children and a life with him is more important to him than a never aging, fake woman who succumbs to all his wishes.

Looks like he's going to be the first man to get his nerdy butt kicked by his homemade robot too.
