Since I first posted this article, if anything I think the evidence supporting it has only grown. I suspect that most if not all of the high profile researchers of skeptics covered by the media have designated positions, otherwise they might not get any coverage, which means they might all be part of a controlled disclosure effort.

This may also have something to do with the consolidation of the corporate media into six oligarchies. Without that hey might not be able to get away with it. With centralized authoritarian control of the media it is much more likely they could get away with it.
