Now he is right about this nationalization stuff. I love when he points out prior honesty. Like Truman saying straight up we need to nationalize the steel industry. The honesty that took place in prohibition, where they had the respect to at least vote to amend the constitution. Hey at least they were honest and forthright about what they were doing then even though it was not in line with what our country is supposedly about.

Nowadays nobody is willing to take responsibility for anything and they aren't even "man" enough to call something what it is. They are willing to send our armies wherever as long as someone is willing to take the responsibility/blame (GWB), just not them, the congress. They pretend to have the responsibility to represent millions when they don't even have the capacity for honesty and straight talk.

HEY wait a minute, PICK ME, this guy aint pretty enough like I am...

I disagree with these types of comments out of hand but don't disagree with the idea that the way Americans vote and think about people is based on their oratory skills and looks, and Dr Paul is OLD and he looks it, well he don't look as old a he is but he nonetheless looks old.

I think that the sad part is that most of the younger ones are already brainwashed into the system coming and therefore couldn't take the mantle from Dr. Paul wit the same zeal and zest and urgency...

I would back anyone like Dr. Paul that had a history lke Dr. Paul hat showed their nature to side with the People and the Constitution against bad legislation bad Judges and bad monetary policies Etc. Etc..

Everyone is numb.

Numb till everything gets taken away and they won't even know it because it happened slowly while they watched cable, drank beers, and watched more brain washing propaganda.

Said millions of Americans collectively...

Since the nomination of McCain I've seen a very obvious and vocal resistance grow among conservatives here in my state. Sure they'll agree with Paul all day but when it comes to voting for him the MSM has left them trembling.

Sadly I find myself searching youtube every day for my daily fix of Ron Paul or Peter Schiff or Jim Rogers. Three men that actually get it and three men that up until now have been shut out and still is in a sense.

Well, this may not be Ron Paul, but this YouTube video is of Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., warning that if congress bails out the auto companies, there will be riots. At least another person in congress gets it:

Thanks op for posting this. I seriously love Ron Paul. He has been right all along.

I am hearing that by febuary we will be in full swing in depression.

I can even feel it.

I been looking for one job ask I am in college for my second year ever since I got out of highschool I tried getting a job.

from family video...blockbuster low paying jobs to computer tech repair to programmer.

I took a highschool class that is a A+ program which is for the certification.

This group organization that gives out these certificates charge 200 bucks per test.

I never took the certification thinking it's a rip off. I basicly thought that I can get a job and even ask them to test me.

The problem I find out is the job market many shops are convinced by that group that they have no way to test them since they don't know anything about computer repair even though they own a computer repair shop.

So they wanted to make it standardised in my area where when I was in 11nth grade you could walk in and they would test you meaning have a trial they will have you come in one day and they take a look at how you performed that day and make a decision to hiring you.

today they got convinced that the only true way is to have a organization test the people.

yet I have the same skills and this certification expires every year.

I have friends that went to best buy at the geek squad which reqires a+ certificated people which those people were and yet they told my friend that the computer is old and he should get a new one. He took it to me and I found out his laptop was in sleep mode. So I had to get it out of sleep mode and found out it was a defect in the design of the system.

I mean I know my computer stuff and have these skill but just because I didn't get a peice of paper that expires every year I can't get a job as a computer tech.

I can seriously feel that by feb our economy will collaps.

My dad works at the only steel company that is running in America.

He notice honda visited a while back like last year to see the factory and they refused to buy the steel from my dads work place. Now just last week honda placed orders to my dads steel company and the only reason why is because they can't find the steel else where.

now this GM bail out stuff is not going to help anything.

Car makers needs steel and if they can't get steel in america they will have to arrange a way to import steel to make their cars.

It really looks bad.

In michigan already hospitals are closing doors and even malls.

People who said by feb the economy will collaps and we will be in a wrost depression in history they are right I can feel it and see it.

There is no growth right now. We are in a ression and a ression is bascilly meaning our economy is going backwards... the growth is falling meaning no new jobs.

So anyone that has a job is lucky and may lose their jobs. Anyone like people coming out of highschool won't find a job since the economy is not growing that would me no new jobs and so people that come out of highschool can't find anything even low paying jobs.

I applied at family vide they had a hire sign and they never called me at all.

I later on found out they took it down and I asked if they hired anyone and they said no they had to switch plans.. they are losing money and can't really afford more people and plan to but some jobs out of the store.

so when the economy is that bad... be prepaired.

Ron Paul was right all the time. The people in congress are crooked people meaning they know what sgoing on but they must have personally some value in those deals... meaning if they have thier own business or they get some bribe money they have their hands in those deals. Or they are stupid and get fooled very easily.

I think that Ron Paul's utterances are quite genuinely accurate and generally represent dissenting wisdom in the population.

Sadly, that dissent is marginalized by obscurity. No one wants to hear that their party's politically-derived plan for governance is flawed. His peers seem incapable of admitting they have been wrong, and have been manipulated. Maybe they actually believe they are 'superior' and shouldn't be questioned.

The truth however, seems already to be slipping from the grasp of the people.

I never thought that we would allow the press to downplay the public outcry against the bailout that the representatives chose to ignore. Not only chose to ignore, but subsequently inflated with partisan and cronie-supporting pork, before cramming it down our throats along with a Tzar of unprecedented power and near papal-infallibility.

Mr. Paul, regardless of our differing opinions, I salute you along with those few who dared speak truth to power. Sacrificing the love and support of the international banking cartel which overshadows our lives.

And Obama will deliver it to you, a piping hot steaming pile of it.

Think it's bad now? Just wait.

I HOPE......You also mean that the Republicans helped deliver the other portions of this steaming hot pile of "socialism"......Which is what all the banks and auto industry is getting right now....Cause if you for a minute think that republicans and democrats are different...well.....
Last I checked Republicans and Democrats are the ones running this country so any "socialism" you get will be given by the same two parties who have been running this country.

There is no question that Bush and some Republicans were complicit in this traitorous act. This shows what some of us knew all along about Bush- he has no integrity, as far as holding to conservative values. He's in it for his buddies, just as most politicians are. He's just another member of the Republicrat party, beholden to the corporations that control every aspect of government.

Whoopee…hooray for Ron Paul.

There were many Conservatives, including many on this very site who said the exact same thing the second the original bailout was suggested. I don't seem to remember anybody putting much stock into it then.

I like this wording: Obama is going to "propose"...
I thought he was going to "impose"...
Never mind, jump into streetcars, next stop communism!

What really surprised me was how those hard core capitalist bankers readily jumped into the state's lap. This is not about republicans or democrats, it is a natural evolving of capitalism into socialism, which didn't work when it was promoted by the October revolution (too early) but perhaps now the situation is ripe?

They haven't been manipulated. They are not victims. They are active participants. They want it to go this way. They are already getting huge lobby payoffs from the banks, insurance companies and others. You think they won't get a few hundred million of lobby money between the house and senate when trillions is being given away to criminals? The palms will be greased. The baksheesh will be paid. When the government controls everything those politicians will have even more power.
It is beyond them now to refuse.

Ron is being honest and trying to do the right thing. That precludes him from being an effective politician in our congress.

There was a period when I thought this might be the case (and realistically, I can't bring myself to completely get rid of that feeling), however, I think these are like those high-school jocks who get recruited by colleges for sports but haven't a clue nor a desire to be involved in academia. I don't think these senators and congressmen (lower case intentional) think beyond the glitz and glamor of the public spotlight and all the adoration they get from the media-driven propaganda. I actually believe that in the scheme of things there are really only two or three actual categories of these public servants, for example:

Category 1) "Money money money. Daddy, grand-dad, family money."

Category 2) "Look at me, I'm a hero, look at me, I am so smart, look at me!"

Category 3) "I am an abyss of ambition and lust for power and control."

But then, these are generalizations. The exceptions are self-evident.

Ron Paul is living proof that saying correct things is not what makes you President...not yet anyway...when the lies of other candidates have reduced our circumstances to ruin and desperation, maybe we can handle a little obvious truth...

To be honest, it's nice to hear Ron Paul is still doing his thing. He's the man that SHOULD have become president-elect. Unfortunately, he's to much of a threat to those in charge. Plus, he couldn't be as easily manipulated and controlled as both McCain and Obama so MSM tried to turn him into a joke.

But, he's definitely right about this turning into Nationalization. The government should NOT be covering big businesses when they fail, let alone becoming part of big businesses. We're losing more and more of what made America unique. Freedom of speech turned into "terrorist propaganda". Freedom of religion turned into "If you ain't christian, you ain't american". And the right to choose turned into "the right to choose if the majority give you the ok". Add to that the fun idea that the government is growing bigger and bigger and no one's doing anything about it. We're all to screwed up from the toxins in our food and water and the brainwashing going on to stand up and stop it. (or, if you prefer, we're all just to fat, lazy, and stupid to stand up and stop it)

Dude what are you talking about? Talk about preaching doom and gloom. I live in Michigan as well and it's not nearly as bad as you say. If you can't get a job as a "computer repair man" (come on dude) or a family video attendant the economy blows? Seriously?

Anyways back on topic...Ron Paul has it right. But one point if we didn't bail out the big 3 we would feel it everywhere. Jobs would be affected all over the US, but by bailing them out it begs the question who's next? Where do we
paint the line? Our big mistake was the 700billion dollar loan. That's where we messed up and opened up the blast walls.

This is a perfect example of your ignorance, mybigunit. I don't defend Republicans, nor do I attack Democrats.

I defend conservatism and attack liberalism.

One is a political party, the other is an ideology.

I am a registered Independent.

Your boy Obama is a dyed-in-the-wool liberal. Just check my sig. And liberals deliver socialism.

However, the blame for this current mess falls disproportionately in the land of the Dem's. But I acknowledge there have been a lot of R's who went along for the ride.
