Rahm was Clintons campaign finance director back when Clinton launched his bid for presidency. He then spent 5 years as a senior advisor to Clinton.

I am suggesting that Rahm's loyalties may be greater to the Clintons rather than Obama. The man isn't exactly squeaky clean. But, who really is in DC.

Like I said it is a longshot and Rahm does resemble Batboy.

Here is a link from the Chicago Daily Observer:

All the while the feds are listening to these scatological conversations between Blago and others. When Blago starts trying to sell the U.S. Senate seat to the highest bidder, Fitzgerald becomes alarmed. Then he is notified indirectly via Rahm Emanuel from the president-elect’s office that yes indeed Blago is trying to shop the appointment. Deciding to nab Blago before he names a senator and makes money on the deal, Fitzgerald sends FBI agents to Blago’s Chicago house at 6 a.m. Dec. 9, taking the governor into custody—at the same time arresting his top aide…putting both in handcuffs and taking them to the federal building for indictment. Shocked…shocked!...Emil Jones and his compatriot call the legislature into special session to strip Blago’s right to name anyone to the Senate and to substitute for this patronage a special election.

Do you really think this story is rubbish? You may just want to take off your thick lensed rose tinted glasses and take a closer look at Chicago politics.

Do you believe that Obama sealed himself off from the corruption and games that have been going on all around him during his time in Chicagoland? If so , Obama must have been using Michael Jackson's hyperbaric chamber to keep himself so squeaky clean.

All Obama has to say is "Nope, I never talked to those guys or never really knew any of them" and everything is okey dokey. Obama and company have been backpedaling ever since this story broke. Multiple cases of sudden amnesia/dementia have taken over his office.

Easy there mate. First off I would just like to direct your attention to my post that is situated directly above your last.

What do you see there?

Anything about Obama and how 'dirty' or 'clean' he may be?

No what you find there is my comments on the Rahm - Clinton connection and how he may be more loyal to his former colleges than his new President Elect.

So if you would like to have a back and forth with me please try to stay on the topic at hand.

To answer your complete digression for the point I made in my post: I am sure Obama has his faults, somehow I highly doubt that they any thing is going to surface that is going to do any real harm to him. As Fitzgerald has already noted Obama is not part of this investigation because it is clear he had nothing to do with the situation.

Dream all you like but it just is not going to go down that road (IMHO).

And to conclude: the topic I broached in my first post and then the new topic broached in this second post come together nicely to demonstrate the fervor with which some oppose Obama. 'Grasping for Straws' comes to mind as does 'Desperation'.

I can understand not liking a president, I just lied through 8 years of G W Bush and I really did not enjoy it.

Still I? would encourage you and yours to stay grounded. Even if it is only 4 years (which i doubt) it is going to be a long ride.

Take a few deep breaths and relax. And then when something of REAL substance and merit comes along you can resume your spastic attacks on the president.

I'm sorry, but your post had me laughing so hard I fell right off my chair!

More than likely, Rahm's tattling on Blago is going to lead him to sing like a canary. I'm willing to bet, despite Obama's claims otherwise, that Obama has participated in pay-to-play and that it's going to rear it's ugly head. That is, unless Blago decides to commit suicide by shotting himself in the head three times and throwing himself off a bridge.

Considering that Gov. Blago was under investigation for 5 years how exactly did Rahm Emanuel 'tip off' the feds? Just curious. Anyone have a gov't source? Considering the Chicago 'pay for play' political corruption machine - I'm not inclined to believe a lot of what the papers there say without some backup.

The Feds have been following this creep around because his involvement in shady deals went far beyond the Senate seat issue.

In addition, federal prosecutors alleged Blagojevich and Harris, along with others, obtained and sought to gain financial benefits for the governor, members of his family and his campaign fund in exchange for appointments to state boards and commissions, state jobs and state contracts.

Actual counts against him.

The FBI had to take action before they wanted because the Senate seat issue was so outrageous that immediate action was required.

There are reports saying this story isn't true...

I don't know what to believe. It would be cool, but it might not be true.
