the above example, sometimes you have to be very watchful and very quick.

Edited to fix one of the darned links!
[edit on 15/12/08 by JustMike] Thanks, Mike. I thought it was just me, but I've seen several instance of an item appearing on a
specialized/localized map but nowhere else, then disappearing altogether.
As with all things governmental, I guess you have to be quick to capture info as it's made available.
Makes you wonder why they bother in the first place. ...

Hi guys and thanks for all the info - just another update - no real juicy info I'm afraid.
Apparently the snow melt was documented by local press in the area (will try and get links - if not my dad will no doubt have clippings when he's
back).
My dad's still out there although they are going back to Sacramento CA tomorrow to do more lab work - He didn't say so but I'm guessing they have
been in the field taking samples - it would make sense !
What for though? We are still none the wiser!!

I have been on Google for a half hour trying various search strings as well as on the web sites for the major newspapers in Whatcom county and I
honestly cannot find a thing except talks about the ski season starting. I'm not doubting your story, I just don't see any documentation on line.
If your Dad knows what papers or what media representatives were involved that might be helpful (assuming he can say).

OK guys as you can see from responses on here I tried to debunk the OP a bit,
However if you look at the tread I made to negate his claims further digging is showing some pretty weird things happening indeed.
Alert any Members Live Near Mt Baker?
For the the things I am thinking are not right and may support the OP in a coverup please look at this post just now.
HERE
OP star from me!
And as I say on there if it looks like I cant debunk this I am going to arrange for that thread to be chucked back at you and maybe linked into this
one with the research
Something indeed may be up, lets work together to find out.
Elf.

Today has been the first day I've been able to see Mt. Baker on Flashearth.com. The image is updated daily and until recently is was obscured by
cloud cover. Today the mountain looks all white and there is no visible melt or bald spot, but the resolution isn't that great.

If you go to the USGS site and look at the historical map of earthquakes in the area you can see it is literally littered with them. This must be a
very common occurrence in this zone based on what I saw.

Hi guys - brief update - I haven't been very active here due to the holiday.
My father is still in the field and will not/can not inform us of his current location - last we knew he was in Sacramento CA - that was confirmed
maybe a week or so ago.
Last time we spoke was on 26th Dec, no doubt we will be in touch today to wish each other a Happy New Year.
Not sure exactly why, as he could at least tell us where he was before, but now he is not allowed to say anything (maybe they saw the post here? I
doubt it but a possibility I suppose).
Again, we don't know at all if there is some sinister reason why he cannot speak - it could just be 'policy' or something. It is very interesting
that there have been a number of very active threads such as the Yellowstone activity thread - which have appeared since my dad has been out in the
US.
Too much or a coincidence maybe - I do now believe that something interesting is happening. Maybe they are actively able to stop something happening -
officially this is NOT possible right now as they can't even predict accurately an eruption.
BUT interestingly I know my father has done research/practical applications of blasting/drilling both very deep towards magma chambers AND also at the
surface in high pressure 'bulge areas' to relieve pressure.
Exactly the same principal as if you have a bubble in wallpaper - if you pop it with a small pin, you relieve the pressure and prevent any explosive
force. Sounds really simple and common sense, too simple even, but I know with certainty that my father has been working on this (maybe 5 years ago
now) and that they had some success. Would perhaps make sense that it is secret if a lot of explosives (and probably the military) are involved -
especially in case it backfired and they ended up setting off a big one! (thats more of a joke, I don't think they'd do it if it was dangerous).
My father was due to return in the next couple of weeks - he has now said he will probably be staying longer but may be allowed back for a weekend to
spend with us.

Thanks Dutty_Rag... I wish your father/family well.
If he is not at Yellowstone then I bet he wishes he were! This has to be fascinating to someone in his field. Although, at the same time, Yellowstone
could blow and no one would want to be there.
According to posts I read in the other thread, they called in specialists on December the 25'th... yet the earthquake swarm did not start until
December 26'th. This shows us that they do know more than they release.
There is no denying that something big is going on at Yellowstone... we just don't know what it means.

Hmm called in experts on 25th is interesting - they specifically requested that my father stay over the christmas period (i.e. he couldn't even
return home for like a few days with us) - this was over a month ago now so maybe they had A LOT of forewarning on this?
I'm not sure if he is there or not, although I would imagine: major volcanic event at one of the worlds biggest/most dangerous sites - prominent UK
vulcanologist in country who is an expert on detection/prevention. It would be madness if he wasn't there! So why the secrecy? And how did they know
something was up so far in advance if this was the case?
Secret planes kept secret - sure I can understand that - but tech to detect impending geological activity - surly that is something to share with the
world? (ok we are speculating now ;-)!!!)

Out of curiousity, when did you father leave? I ask, because there seemed to be a quake on the 4th of December that seemed to kickstart some activity
in Yellowstone. Just wondering if he got called out before or after that.

Also I wonder if any of this has to do with the rumors of 9 underground nukes exploded where the buldge of the earth's core occurs, or where the true
magnetic north left Canadian waters, mentioned in November. I already believe this correlates to the huge whole in our magnetic shield revealed in
December.
But could this, and HAARP be their intention, creating something incredibly devasting for the continent?

Sac. is just below Reding ca. where Mount Shasta resides. My beautiful Granddaughter lives there with her father... I used to monitor Mnt. Shasta
through their Shasta cam, but it started having too many problems as USGS became a popular public site.
So many changes happening, lets just pray it has nothing to do with Mnt. Shasta. If you hear that your father is in the redding area can you please
u2u me for a heads up? I wish I had $$$ I would send for them both to come and stay a little while, but alas the father thinks Im nuts when I tell him
to have extra water and food on hand just in case...

My father went out on the 9th Dec - he was called on I think the 6 or 7th and told to get out there as soon as possible. They wanted someone there
ASAP and basically wouldn't tell him why, but said if he couldn't be there within 2 or 3 days to forget it. They are paying him big bucks I know
that much which is probably why he reluctantly agreed to stay over christmas - being primarily an academic in the UK he doesn't get much so any extra
injections of cash mean he can continue doing what he does at the university for longer without having to take lots of time out to do commercial
work.
I will U2U you if I hear anything, but chances are I won't - right now I don't even know where he is in the US.
What is all this I hear about detonation of nukes? I hadn't heard anything like that before. Interesting though as I mentioned before my father has
done work involving detonating explosives deep underground to try and prevent eruptions by relieving pressure.
I think the principal works if there are underground voids close buy to a magma chamber. Basically the magma chamber is under pressure, so the idea is
to blow out the surrounding crust to basically enlarge the chamber into the void. Not only does this alleviate the immediate pressure and danger, but
because the surface area of the new chamber is bigger, it means it takes much more pressure in future to actually result in a dangerous situation.
The theory was that this could turn a volcano from being active to being essentially dormant - a long term cure. Not sure exactly how far along the
group got with this but I'm guessing the actual nuts and bolts of making it happen are a lot more complex.

Yeah been following and commenting in the other threads - last update I have is my last post above.
I suspect he has been out to Yellowstone - would be surprised if he hasn't - but he hasn't confirmed this.
