My GOD it's disgusting!
Never seen this one before, thank God!
What the hell is it?
No more information than what is present on the link.
It is supposed to exist somewhere in Russia...
Please give me some input.
Weak-minders: beware!
[Edit to fix spelling error, the animal was so freaky it made me lose focus]

It's a computer render with a blur added later, you just have to look at the wood texture and radiosity for that. Very well done, but unluckily a
fake.

Although I may have to bow to Kalomar superior post.

That video is bringing down some weird stuff when its buffering. 2 MB in 25 seconds plus a listing for the following : specific click, double click
and some Russian stuff leads me to a full virus scan...get this off , its unsafe !

Ooops! Sorry for that! I had no idea.
I am using FireFox though. Haven't noticed anything. Besides I am at work so it is not my problem!
But seriously, I am sorry for any damage I might have caused...
Thanks for the warning.

Has it been captured? Looks pretty easy to nab and test. Otherwise I'm not sure if I believe this story, the grainy video certainly looks like it's
showing a real creature but you never know...

I posted something similar to this a few months ago and everyone was quick to assume that it's "just a triops" and that it was no big deal, but
disregarded the fact that the first and now this second specimen are easily much larger than any triops recorded before. The head-to-tail ratio is
much different as most triops species as well and unless the stick used in the OP video is a toothpick, the creature on the video is at least a foot
long, which is much longer than any previously recorded triops.
This means it's either a new subspecies or mutation caused by something in the local environment. It's definitely nothing outrageous or
groundbreaking, but to dismiss it as insignificant or a forgery is a little over the top, don't you think?

Those were my thoughts as well. It looks far larger than a triops. Looked for videos and pitcures of them, none are near that size.

www.fishforums.net...
This website says the largest ever recorded is 9 inches, which upon further watching of the video makes the recorded specimen seem not-so-oversized.
I'm just not a fan of people on a website(that's supposed to be a junction of open-minded people) are so quick to say "I'm right. You're wrong."
Unless one of us were there and have accurately recorded data, you can't really make that assumption.
Good thing that I'm guilty of what I just said. Ah, the internet.

I have checked a handful of websites and they all seem to agree that a normal Triops is two to four inches long.
{example}
Judging by the video I would estimate the 'creature' is about four (maybe five) inches long. Triops seems to fit...
The caption under the video reads "... And people say it’s 3 feet long!"
Judging by the stick and the planks it's laying on, there's no way it is that big. Less than six inches... I'd put money on it. Still cool
looking though.
You want to see something really cool and creepy? Check out this
Alien-like Squid With "Elbows" recently filmed at a
deep-water (mile and a half down) drilling site. Now that thing is scary!

Creepy looking, trying on Google found this older thread here:

Not much to add here, except it's like that gar fish we had a few weeks back from Phucket, a species people don't see very often.

So have we concluded it's a triops? Edit: Apparently not.
I'm pretty sure we could have gotten the gist of the creature's behavior without having poked it with a stick repeatedly. I'm just sayin'...
