she had an edge getting into Princeton not because of affirmative action, but because her older brother was there as a scholar athlete. She was
a "legacy," just like any other applicant with family ties to Princeton. Her aides say Michelle earned her way into Harvard on merit by
distinguishing herself at Princeton.
If you look above you will see the paragraph just before that in my previous post. 2 different versions being told one by classmate, one by aides
Agreed..though I think if I was going to parse words I would say that her classmate said something like Michelle Obama "recognized that she had been
privileged by affirmative action"...which technically many African Americans say despite never having been directly affected by it. Its a way of
saying that Afirm. Action has moved the community further along and opened doors "for the african American community"
BUT...lets see it your way...both comments were
hearsay/second-hand, One an Aide, the other a classmate...niether M. Obama
Compare that to the BS that Flyers said before I checked the source she "forgot" to post...Notice the "HER WORDS" part?
Notice where she throws in the "unexception(al) grades" part? Which is untrue and not even included in the article. She took advanced courses in
High school, skipped grades and was Honor Roll the whole way.
FLYER...LIER It's a theme with you...

In a February 2008 interview with Newsweek, Michelle revealed how she got into Princeton. She herself said that she got in not on the
strength of her unexception grades, but because of her brother Craig, a star athlete and gifted student who preceded her to the school. She got in
as a 'legacy' and as a beneficiary of affirmative action. - her own words.
And yes her thesis was a mess.
Edit to include actual qoute by classmate from article and avoid paraphrasing.
