It's not self-proclaimed, how assumptive of a statement to make.

Thanks for playing. What's your stand on "astronomers find new date for fake thing?"

Methinks you like me to repeat myself ^_^, already addressed in the thread. There's a "back" button that returns to previous pages.

Would you believe me if I told you?

Your post mentioned my name. It was unclear who you were addressing.

Oh, wait. You're all men now right Saint?

An interesting conclusion I'm sure. Where it comes from I have no idea.

Ah, now you're specific to whom you are talking. I'm interested in hearing the response from clowns.

Sorry my matey. I don't feed trolls any longer. But I do wish you the best and hope you have an enjoyable experience under your new ATS account. It's understandable how starting out with a fresh posting slate can be refreshing.

As for your claim Jesus, more specifically the star, was based off of Caesar and his star, that's for another time. I just purchased two books dealing with those claims and will be dissecting them both in the research forum after the Holidays.

Cheers. Enjoy your ATS run for as long as it lasts.

Nah, seems your mind is already made up.

And now, back to the news. I've also seen adamant claims that Jesus was born on June 26th. The fact is, the Bible does not give a date. We could assume then that we should not celebrate Jesus' birth at all, or pick a day to celebrate it. If we don't celebrate it because we cannot discern a specific date, we have to wonder about becoming legalistic, something Christ had spoken against in the New Testament, like here:

"Another time he went into the synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath. Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, "Stand up in front of everyone."

Then Jesus asked them, "Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?" But they remained silent.

He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored. Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus." - Mark 3:1-5

Wait, was YOUR contribution to this tread on the birthday of Jesus that he was really some guy the Catholics worshipped that died December 6, AD 343.

Bravo.

Kudos.

Thanks for coming back.

Call me boy and send me some more sweets. That went over well last time.

HAHAHAH!

No, show me where I wrote that?

Are you insane?

I'm sorry. What was your argument again? Oh yes, contradicting nativity accounts, copycat Messiah hypotheses, and sheer speculation.

You have to offer us some sort of challenge before we accept. Rehashing the same skeptic arguments that have been discussed and refuted on ATS a million and half times loses it's fun after a while.

Thanks for trying to pull me into the tired debate by appealing to my ego, though. That was a nice touch. Sneaky. But laziness and boredom often overshadows ego.

Enjoy.

Oh, so you just defended that poster to me, without believing a word they said. Got it.

No, I'm not insane. I think you're incontinent.

Have fun with that. I recommend Pampers.

Off for a date, Christmas and vacation.

Be back to laugh at you later (with an audience).

Stop nattering nonsense and show me the post to which you refer.

Don't beat around the bush and ruin this thread.

Would you like to have a go with me, all formal and fancy like, in the debate forum? We can discuss it with facts, evidence, and sources. Three anonymous judges. It would be just the two of us with no interference from the peanut gallery. Lots of fun and you get the nifty little fighter title beneath your name. Interested? You'll argue pro for your position, I'll argue con.

" The bible is not the word of God. It has gone though so many alterations and abuse over the centuries there are BOUND to be contradictions, mistakes etc. "

I must simply disagree.

If it is not The Word of God, it could not contain so many self defining words in it, not to mention hiding the gospel in the names of the first ten men of the Bible.

There were some mistakes, but with a companion Bible and a concordance almost anyone can get a deeper understanding of The Word and come to know that it is true.

The entire video is worthwhile.
