Video of multiple kill vehicle

"Here's a video of the first test of Lockheed Martin's Multiple Kill Vehicle, hovering and moving in 3D space with deadly precision. But while the video is amazing on itself, how does the MKV work?"

This is both very cool and very scary.

Clearly the new military tech is FAr beyond what we know or expect.

Think about thios, if you think the B-2 bomber is high tech, it is mid to later 1970's tech.

How far do you think they have come in the last 30+ years?

That is freakin awesome. Im assuming that the real deal, thats probably already in orbit right now, are using lasers instead of missiles and are really there as a defense against hostile space craft, instead of ICBMS.

I note that by the time we ever see a video of a weapon system, or they roll one out to the public, the technology they show is usually a decade or two old.

Thank God our country doesn't count of me for their higher technologies. Can you imagine all the technologies that had to come together and mesh for this thing to operate? One little facet, and it wouldn't be here.

Makes you wonder what other little toys the boys have concocted.

And it makes one proud of the other ones they've conceived.

God bless America.

Please.

That thing would be useless in orbit with the thrusters spitting like that. A geostationary satellite would have better chance of taking out warheads than this thing would in orbit.

Its intended for atmospheric uses. This was revealed some years ago.

Good thing the intended use wont be for covert recon missions. Na..no one will know its even there at all!!

Cheers!!!!

Just remember folks, whatever we get to see is 10-30 year old tech.

Just stop and think about that for a min.

The newest fighters the US has (F-2/F35) were designed in the 80's, over 20 years ago.

My point is, if we see this simple, first gen craft?, what is new and current must be light years more advanced.
I would love to see the newest current stuff; it must be between amazing and almost magic-like

Btw, I don't necessarily agree this must be an atmospheric craft, only.
With the motors/jets "figured out" ( and figure they been working on them for 10-20 years) I don't see why it could not be space based also, anti satellite device, anti spacecraft device-like IBM’s on their top of the arc or another countries rocket/shuttle craft/satellite launches.
