I've been thinking as I've been seeing all this anti-Obama propaganda on the internet about how people think he isn't who he says he is. It got me
wondering. Are we ever who we say we are? Maybe there is a little terrorist inside of us, or a radical inside of us, or a socialist inside a
conservative, or maybe, there is a Muslim inside of us. Just who are we? Can we be a Kenyan, a British citizen, a citizen of Canada, and a citizen
of Russia all at once? Just what does that matter anyways? We are a citizen of the world. Isn't that who we are? Just who are we really? Are we
who we really are? Are we ourselves? Were we born where it says on our birth certificates? How can we ever be sure about anything about who we
really are? Mabe we are terrorists and foreign citizens in our own way...
I just thought about that right now. All this questioning about who someone really is does make me question ourselves a bit more. Just what are we?
Are we really humans? What if we are something else? What if we are a foreign born human, like, we were created off of this Earth and we didn't
know it?
I think that all of these anti-Obama threads have inspired me to ask many philosophical questions about the nature of the self. So, maybe Obama at
times is a natural born citizen and maybe at times he is a foreigner, or, maybe at times I am more of a foreigner than a US citizen like I really am
or like Obama really is.
I don't know... but may I be onto something? How can I prove who I say I am? Who am I really? How can you prove who you say you are?
