Seeking Scholarly Article on Global Crisis

Hola ATS amigos!
I wasn't sure where to post this so I settled on the Skunk board.

As a college student I've got a final coming up. I have to write a paper comparing readings we've done in class on the Asian financial crisis of 1997 and an article of our choice on the current financial crisis. It's a bit embarrassing but as much as I've read on the subject very little is scholarly. (I'm not big believer in peer-review)

I'm looking for suggestions for a good, critical SCHOLARLY article on the current money crisis. I know many ATSers know the topic but if people could suggest a scholarly article I'd appreciate very much!

Perhaps ATS is wholly without people who read scholarly work? I don't read Foreign Affairs either but wow. Help please.
