Wow! The Indian Air Force were chased away? Turned and ran for their lives??
The Pakistani media makes it look as if the Indian Air Force
is a WWII vintage force equipped with TBFs and Marauders, Spitfires and Hurricanes!!
Heck, the Indian Air Force is equipped with some of the most sophisticated fighter aircraft in the world, for Chrissake! So were they 'chased away'
or were the IAF on a probing mission that returned after completing its mission of graduated escalation and testing Pakistan's responses?
It's an open secret that till last year, Indian MiG-25s regularly overflew Pakistan taking imagery of all vital assets having strategic value as
well as keeping a tag on Pakistani troop movements. There was not even a whine from them as these aircraft were beyond their missile/radar range
flying at altitudes much higher than any of their aircraft could ever reach! After all, not many aircraft can cruise at 90,000 feet!
They were doing this with impunity, but the Pakistani media never went to town about these incursions to avoid embarrassment due to their incapability
of taking any retaliatory action. And needless to say, they could not provide proof, visual, photographic or radar due to the reason mentioned
above.
Of course, it's not happening now as the MiG-25s had been phased out last year. Indian satellites probably do the job now which is much cheaper than
the gas guzzling MiGs.
Cheers!
