The "Reply To" button is still appearing on posts for me but when I click it the code does not appear and I just have a completely empty text box.

Is it just me or has something changed?

Bother! See it worked that time for me! It hasn't been working anywhere else for the last couple of days for me.

Yes I use the quote option most frequently and it's been fine. Maybe asking the question solved it in some metaphysical realm.

Thanks for your help! Stars bestowed upon you for helpfullness

Edit to add: Oh, I can't star you in here - I'll have to find you somewhere else to do it.

You know what still doesn't work? The time zone setting. I apparently reside in Kabul. I can change it to Rangoon but not to Helsinki. I guess I'm not allowed to live there.

The Reply to button works occasionally. Very occasionally. Just because it worked now doesn't mean it will work next time.

At least the Preview Post button is back. I was fuxx0red there for a while with that one.

I live in Baghdad according to the MemCentre! Kabul and Baghdad ... hmmm.

By the way this is a "reply to" and as you may note it's not working again.

It sometimes goes on the fritz regularly. Probably about once a week or every two weeks I get a blank text box after using the 'reply to' feature. It happens to a lot of people but it never seems to stay down long term. Just temporary glitches.

Look in the address bar and see if there is an apostrophe at the end of it, after the page ID number, if there is, remove the apostrophe ONLY then reload the page.

The reply function will now work.

It's a code glitch of some kind - it doesn't happen on every page, but if you want to reply, check first if there is an apostrophe at the end of the address.

This is what I got: www.abovetopsecret.com...\

I suppose I'm meant to take out the &pg=1\, right? Why is it there? It happens this way the vast majority of the time.

And I'm still stuck in Kabul!

No, not on the page AFTER you press reply, but on the main page with the post you want to reply to - as stated, just look in the address bar and take out the apostrophe if one is there and the reply function will work

Nope. Doesn't work. I took it out on this page, clicked Reply to and see what happened?

Typical. Pfft. If it ain't broke, somebody tries to fix it. Then it really is broke, they can't fix it anymore.

Note: Bad grammar used for effect and does not reflect the linguistic skills of the poster.

Works for me every time - just did it with this page.

Don't forget to reload the page after taking it out - just hit enter after removing the apostrophe

It comes back when I reload.

Make someone fix it. This isn't fun.

You're doing something wrong - like I said, just put your cursor in the address bar, delete the apostrophe, hit enter and it will be gone.

Works for me every time.

And I'm telling you that it doesn't work. As soon as I reload, it comes back. It was luck that when I returned to this thread there was no apostrophe, otherwise I wouldn't be replying to you but rather to the thread.

Any other bright ideas?
