Tell me, What makes whites racist?

I've noticed lately that everyone seems to believe that "white people" are the only ones that can properly be racist. Whenever a "black person" does something racist toward a white person, It remains unchecked and unheard. When a white person does some wrong you have the NAACP, Jesse Jackson, and every other person their to protest.

I would just like to hear everyones views

It's because all whites are highly educated, very wealthy, live in gated communities, are adverse to substance abuse, and all whites feel that the world owes them every advantage because the past indicates so.

The question should have been " Why is it ONLY whites can be racist??"!
Whites can be refered to by any name that other races can come up with but not the reverse. God forbid we refer to anyone not of the caucasian race in a manner that might insult even one member of another race. The double standard is having its backlash. A silent rebellion that is going to make things worse. Whites won't bother to talk at all about their thoughts about anyone and just act on them. When that happens, no one will benefit. With the political mindset that is starting to be seen in the inner city with white supporters of Obama being harrassed simply because they are white by black inner city youth folks are going to start asking themselves real hard questions. This is a dangerous delema!

boo hoo people are mean get over it. Sticks and stones... remember? Its not so bad as it used to be and its time to move on. Others only hold power over you if you let them. Look for racism and you will find it even if it aint there. Some times you really are an ass no matter what color you are. Look for unity and you are sure to find it. I'm sure if white people founded a lobbyist group in Washington we could have more sad stories of another race being tramped.
Face it , the human race is loaded with all the deadly sins in one skin filled sack. So why not also bitch about each others sack on top of it all.

we are all racists because we are selfish. To think such a creature has been trapped with itself on an orb traveling threw space for so long and it still thrives today.

I look at everyone as the HUMAN race and no other way. When it comes to the election yeah i voted for McCain but he lost and in jan we will have a black prez and i will support him as long as he does the job the american people asked him to do, but I have noticed alot of blacks throwing the election into the faces of whites saying "You have a BLACK president now hahaha" and yet no one seems to care but if i was to say "You had WHITE presidents" I would have been bashed like hell for it.

well it comes down to a few simple facts. the lesser beings will always look up to and demand attention from the greater beings. if you are being challenged then it is because of

a. jealousy
b. confusion

i'm not saying that blacks are lesser beings or that whites are superior. i'm saying that large cultural thought does exist and this is one of the things that does take place. whether true or not.

and by the way, you're a racist for saying that. you should know better than to assume that the way people treat you is based off of any meaningfull thought. it ISN'T. people are retarded shelter seeking fools that will do anything to fit in.

"Whites" codified the racial terms and designations we use. Why is "Obama" considered Black if his mother is White? "Blacks" didn't have the power of self definition, they didn't create racial terminolgy. Being able to absolve oneself of racialist behavior and thoughts is one of the benefits of being Black in America.

NO, blacks wanted to be called blacks. In the 50's it was negro, the negros complained and wanted to be called Afro-Americans. In the 60's it was still Afro- Americans but soon wanted to be called Black- Americans. Now its just plain Black. It was their choice not anyone elses. The Slurs that they where called was white and and other race derived is true, but not the present terminology!

It has to do with the fact that this country still considers us whites "the majority", and while that is generally true, that has slowly been changing. The "minority" congolomerate is the new majority, but they use the excuse of the past as a basis for their hypocrisy.

I don't hold them personally to blame though, as I truly have been the minority myself.

i can't see any clear frame of reference to what your saying and how it relates to the argument.

but for pity's sake; name an organization that doesn't change it's title based on the willy nitty attitudes of it's members and i'll produce for you a culture that can make omlettes without breaking eggs.

It simply means that their position as the new majority (as the "conglomerate") gives them an excuse to turn the tables on the old majority (whites).

Its the same terminology but, it wasn't whites who demanded the change. It was their own race making demands to be refered to one way or another. In your post you said it was the whites that determine the usage. Its not and hasn't been for 50 years!!

Funny how Obama got elected thanks to a bunch of white folks. Guess that fact alone should keep Jackson and company at bay for awhile.

This is to easy to answer in today's world, THE FACT THEY ARE WHITE!

I don't want a one liner so I will add, White, Heterosexual, Bible Believer, Gun Owner, Patriot, Pro-Life.

Seriously though I don't judge anyone by their color, my faith won't allow it. Did you see the Bible believer part? God created MAN in his image and it was good... Man comes in any colors and like Steven Tyler says "Mister if you can judge a man by the color of his skin then your a better man than me"

Seriously though, all races/colours have pride to be who they are.
And whether people like it or not, everyone has deep inbedded what is called racism inside themselves. It isn't limited to whites.
But we seem to be called out on it whereas others don't seem to be held to the same standards. IMO
