Can someone post a link to something on this Golden spiral of precious metals? I'm at work and can't get any pictures to show, searches reveal
nothing as well. This may well be because its BS, but i'd like to find the original source.

Ah, missed the size, have a site with the information?
... ten thousand years ago. The man of the future, with the big brain, the small teeth.... He lived in Africa. His brain was bigger than your
brain. His face was straight and small, almost a child’s face. When the skull is studied in projection and ratios computed, we find that these
fossil South African folk, generally called “Boskop” or “Boskopoids” after the site of first discovery, have the amazing cranium-to-face ratio
of almost five to one. In Europeans it is about three to one. This figure is a marked indication of the degree to which face size had been
“modernized” and subordinated to brain growth.

Did a little digging and sounds like it may be a Boskop skull. Havn't been able to pull a picture of a skull yet though. Might not be, of course.

Did a search for causes of enlarged skulls, most of it has to do with brain swelling.
Hydrocephalus especially, if the affected person is young, can cause the skull itself become misshapen.

Different skull. The skull in the OP is even larger, it was discovered by Robert Connolly in 1995. You can find it in this summary article, it is
referred to as the 'j type skull' towards the end of the article :

As for the boskup skulls, you can see a comparison photo here:

Another interesting find:

Resembles a large "deformed" skull. The eye sockets are ~15% larger then normal eyes and the skull has a brain capacity of 2600 - 3200 ccm (ours is
1450 ccm). This is somewhat off the thread title but was a rather interesting find.
Note: One of the skulls found in Ica (Peru)
They were found in Peru.

This is an extraordinary piece, part of several spiraled gold pieces found in Nirada. The smaller ones are about 1/10,000th of an inch and are made of
rare metals consisting of tungsten and molybdenum. These spirals follow the Golden Mean ratio which makes the extraordinary findings. Dated between
20,000 to 318,000 years old.
could you give your source as to where it says that the spiral follows the golden ratio?
I don't see how it does.
The spiral's loops would become wider and wider at some point if it followed an increasing raito.. in which case, in the photo, it doesn't.
interesting ancient wine bottle opener though.

ya-if you read of David icke stuff, claims that the lost city of atlantis was once a center of advance technology, and was destroyed by war, so most
of this thinking is not new, and has been in the mainstream new age circles for some time now! i recommend that you read some of icke's works!

Here you go.
Another thing to add about the golden spirals some were made at 200 microns wide, that would be near impossible for scientists today.
