The Abydos Helicopter, Tank,

In my older thread Forbidden Egyptology and in 100+ other threads on ATS, this ancient egyptian inscription is the cause of much controversy:

Take a very close look at this picture. It is self-explanatory. Egyptologists have tried to pass this helicopter, tank, submarine and airplane as “hieroglyphs” but up to now they have failed to point out where else these writings can be seen other than in the ancient Egyptian Sethos Temple in Abydos. They have also failed to translate this supposed “language”.

Interesting vid.
That aside, I am firmly of the opinion they are still around and more than that, that they are the behind the scenes "controllers" of the "elite" plan working itself out on Earth.
Have you heard of Share International (linked to the UN) and it's "Maitreya"....google him/them and the links to the ET disclousre they are preparing themselves to have a hand in.
It's too much for me to go into here but in a nutshell I believe the creator gods set up every major religion on Earth with the express intention to confuse, and so divide mankind..... one must divide to conquer. All religions await the 2nd coming of their respective messiahs, which is just what this Maitreya is...the embodiment of them all. He is strongly linked to ascended masters and ET's.

The NWO want a one world religion as well as a world government/currency and so forth. The Maitreya is planned to take care of this one world religion agenda.

It is my belief that following the natural shock and fallout of ET disclosure coupled with the resistance from many to the Maitreya that great dissent will break out and take care of killing off masses of the population...those that remain will then be primed for further mind control/implants with a view to "restoring" their creations (us) to a form that is more easily controlled that will fit in better with the nice little socialist utopia they want to set up.

But this is slightly off topic so I'd best leave my wild "theories" at that !

Hi Sky

Great thread !!!

Check this video... There are a lot of videos out there. But this is very convincing indeed.
One of the gems are the found of ancient batteries...

Jason Martell on the Discovery Channel :

Did Aliens build the pyramids?

Google "ancient flying palace" this came up, already postet in this thread
www.hinduwisdom

But with this quote

Above all we need to remember: absence of evidence is not evidence of absence

I will say that with all the technology they are using today to construct more "simpler" buildings, the Great Pyramid of Giza had a very high level of engineering. How would that be possible if they "only" had the tools, we "believe" they had. Sure they had to work very fast...

Howdy Sky

You're making stuff up if you think the language is not known or unexplained. How can you possibly say this with a straight face? LOL

Its been explained, repeatedly, the problem is you refuse to believe it. So why don't you just say that instead?

AGAIN go back to where the panel is, what is going on in the panel before it? What is going on in the panel after it? Answer those two questions honestly and you'll have your answer. Also explain how the Egyptologists can read the panel before it and after it but - from your point of view - they cannot read the one you are obcessed with?

You might want to try and flog this dead horse in private.

Does anybody think that the early visitors who we call ET's could be the clever ones that managed to get off the Earth just before the world's pole change each, as maybe expected in 2012.

These people then lived in their new colonies whether on different planets or in space ships, until the Earth was fit again to live on, and so they returned to help what was left to re-build humanity to where we are today.

This would possibly relate to the Illuminati being the knowing ones, and again are planning to protect themselves once again if it does happen, so again the chosen ones could one day return to start us of again.

Just a thought.

DEBUNKING AAT NONSENSE V: THE SKEPTIC STRIKES BACK

On Todays episode debunking the idea that ancient Iraqis needed aliens to build the so called Baghdad battery!
unmuseum.mus.pa.us...
en.wikipedia.org...

and a snipppet:
"Interpretation as electrical device
Even if it is accepted that the "Baghdad batteries" were in fact electrical devices, this provides no evidence of any real knowledge of electrical phenomena. Thus, it is well known that Thales of Miletus was aware of electrostatic phenomena produced by amber, without of course possessing any theoretical explanation.

As electrical power supplies, the "Baghdad batteries" would be inefficient when compared to modern devices. Luigi Galvani formulated a similar electrochemical couple experiment in the 1780s and, 20 years later, Alessandro Volta developed enough theory to convert Galvani's simple experiment into the efficient voltaic pile, producing around 30 volts of continuous current using devices which were much larger than known Baghdad relics. Within two or three more years Sir Humphry Davy was using voltaic piles that produced 1,000 volts and enough current to run an arc lamp.
"

and another snippet:
On MythBusters' 29th episode (which aired on March 23, 2005), ten hand-made terracotta jars were fitted to act as batteries. Lemon juice was chosen as the electrolyte to activate the electrochemical reaction between the copper and iron. (Oddly enough, it was discovered that a single lemon produced more voltage than one of the batteries[dubious – discuss]). When all of the batteries were linked together in series, they produced upwards of 4 volts. Then, the major question was, "What were these ancient batteries used for?"

The show's research staff proposed three possible uses: electroplating, medical pain relief (through acupuncture), and religious experience. It was discovered that when linked in series the cells indeed had sufficient power to electroplate a small token. For acupuncture, the batteries produced a "random" pulse that could be felt through the needles; however, it began to produce a painful burning sensation when the batteries were grounded to two needles at once. For the religious experience aspect of the batteries, a replica of the Ark of the Covenant was constructed, complete with two cherubim. Instead of linking the cherubim's golden wings to the low power batteries, an electric fence generator was connected. When touched, the wings produced a strong feeling of tightness in the chest. Although the batteries themselves had not been used, it was surmised that, due to the apparent lack of knowledge of electricity, any form of electrical sensation from them could equate to the "divine presence" in the eyes of ancient people. In the end, the Baghdad battery myth was found "plausible" on all three accounts.

So could the iraqis have had this device without alien intervention?
YES.

I like this thread because i want to know more. If already had the answer it would not be exiting for me. Know what i mean

Anyway enjoy this "battery"
edit to add : very usefull as a wallpaper or a vase for flowers, as i believe it wont work as battery for you're mp3 player

from this article:

The Baghdad Battery
Today batteries can be found in any grocery, drug, convenience and department store you come across. Well, here's a battery that's 2,000 years old! Known as the Baghdad Battery, this curiosity was found in the ruins of a Parthian village believed to date back to between 248 B.C. and 226 A.D. The device consists of a 5-1/2-inch high clay vessel inside of which was a copper cylinder held in place by asphalt, and inside of that was an oxidized iron rod. Experts who examined it concluded that the device needed only to be filled with an acid or alkaline liquid to produce an electric charge. It is believed that this ancient battery might have been used for electroplating objects with gold. If so, how was this technology lost... and the battery not rediscovered for another 1,800 years?

Observe the Behaviour of the Skeptics in this thread closely. They are doing precisely what was described in the second post on page 1.

* Not addressing the points brought up in the opening posts (diversion & deflection)

* Not offering their own thoughts and arguments but providing links

* Labeling something some authority disagreed with as "Debunked" (Disagreement does not equal a Debunk)

* One skeptic keeps posting in oversized-letters to deflect from the weakness of his argument

* Taking out one piece of data (puzzle-piece) while ignoring the rest.

* Addressing subjects that werent even brought up (easily debunkable subjects)...such as the one who brought up cave-art on the first page.

So far neither the points brought up in the OP nor the follow-up posts were addressed in any scholary manner.

Look and Learn!

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

Some of the stuff you are "debunking" here is a given, yes.

The thing is that the whole crux of the matter isn't so much the various things like the battery that can be disputed. Some of this stuff has been included by accident or design into the "mix" of the stories.

Its more to do with the lore, the legends and the teachings/writings/records of the time.

Nearly every major culture, from the American Indians, through to the Chinese, naturalised Indians the Maori's etc have stories and legends of beings from the sky. That is the crux of the issue here.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

Understand you're point and also the OP. But if it was used as a battery, it could have been used in vehicles like a flying palace. Could it. If it is not a battery what is it ?

Cosmic Egypt

Actually, it does not clearly show anything. That particular photo is not of very good quality, and the image is not clear. Much like other phenomenon in the UFO world, an unclear picture leads to a false interpretation.

It is actually a lotus-plant. This website has a much clearer picture.
If you still want to believe it is an alien, I suppose you could go out on a limb and say it kind of looks like a member Lovecraft's Great Race of Yith or maybe an "Elder Thing".

I've brought it up before, but I implore anyone interested in the paleo-contact hypothesis to read Cult of Alien Gods. The author shows that not only did Lovecraft influence modern sci-fi and horror, but traces the origins of the paleo-contact hypothesis back to him.

The hieroglyphs "clearly" showing helicopters and other flying craft don't actually show them. Egyptologists know what they are, and even what they say ("The one of the Two Ladies, who suppresses the nine foreign countries."). Those images are a result of erosion and an author inscribing multiple hieroglyphs on top of each other. It is a result of pareidolia and coincidence they appear, somewhat roughly, to resemble flying machines.

Winged Discs

What is it with all the "winged discs" or "winged sun discs" described anywhere from ancient Tibet to South America to ancient Egypt, Turkey and Iraq?

Are these depictions of vague memories of times when "Gods" stopped by the earth? Are the wings a way to indicate they were flying?

The winged "sundisc" is most often shown as a ball or disc, sometimes resembling a gear-wheel and spread wings. Often they are shown with “stilts” of which archaeologists interpret as a flame-throwing-snake but modern eyes would interpret as nozzles/jets or landing stilts.

Sometimes humans and “Gods” are shown riding on, sitting in, flying the sundiscs. For example the mesopatamian Godking Ahuramazda was often depicted hovering over the crowds and people in his sun-disc. (see picture in OP).

Any connection to modern-day UFOs also being shown as discs?

The oldest discs can be dated pre-3000 B.C. and are found on many temples of ancient egypt, often accompanied by the words “hut” or “api” which some egyptologists have translated as “Fly-er” or “Flying Device”. This disc is often associated with Horus.

The flying discs are not only reported to have flown and have people inside them, but also to be used as deadly weapons. Here is a translation that dates back to 1870, done by egyptologist H. Brugsch:

"

Hor-Hut flew upwards towards the sun in a big, winged disc. He took with him the north- and south snakes, so that their firey breathe would strike down and burn the enemies""

"He flew with his ship and landed in the city of Hor-Throne. Thoth said: The sender-of-rays, made by Ra, as beaten the enemy"

The translation “sender of rays” (raygun) was later re-interpreted by egyptologists to mean “snake that breathes fire”.

According to Egyptologists the winged disc is “nothing but a decorative figure symbolising the sun”.

The winged disc was sometimes also referred to as “the flying eye”, used by the “Gods” to look for and observe things, indicating something that we would nowdays call “spy drone”.

Whats interesting: When Egyptians referred to flying discs and other flying devices, egyptologists have often translated this is “barque” which is an old word for ship. The reason for this is that the dawn of modern Egyptology did not know of “flying ships” yet, had no word for “airplane” yet and had to rely on what they knew.

Apart from flying or being used as weapons there are also reports of sun discs crashing, falling, needing to land to be repaired and so forth. The Greek historian Plutarch reports that one age before his own visit to egypt one of the gold-metal wreckage of one of the last remaining sun discs was found on one of the upper islands of the Nile. According to natives these were the remnants of a sun disc with which Osiris had come from the “Nightsea”

In this context it is not too difficult to make out that “Nightsea” refers to Space. For contemporary archaeology the term is supposed to be “a fanciful description of a mythological place”.

Some Egyptologists try to equate the sun-disc to the sun. This is countered by most of the barques and discs being described not AS the sun, but shining LIKE the sun.

Completely untrue, Skyfloating. It has been explained, and the writings have been translated. It is the result of a palimpsest, where an author inscribes writing on top of previous writing. They are common in Egypt.

And it has been translated, as I pointed out in my previous post.

Even if you do not believe the translation or the explanation, you have to ask yourself one common sense question. If these images are really of flying machines, why do they appear no where else in Egyptian hieroglyphs? Why is this the only place they appear? Why are there no records elsewhere of these incredible machines?

I realize many cannot accept the reality of ancient 'astronauts,' for their bio systems are operating with a strictly physical nervous system: those with some development of their subtle nervous system have the ability to see deeper.

The debate is indeed an example of the overkicked dead horse. However, it's nice for the newbies, who are on route to further bewonderment.

This stuff is not easy to comprehend with surety through mere observation or reading: the mind is the master, and the mind of humanity is controlled by...Ruling Forces of humanity, ensconced within the invisible 4th dimension, and controlling the physical controllers of the material world.

This merely opens things up to scoffing, and leads to no new true knowledge. The sharing is lopsided, in favor of the naysayers: young minds being entirely unsure, untrained.

So, learn instead some of the many methods of direct-connect, and see for yourself. It is, after all, better than just playing in the sandbox, half bored, with blinders on as to what is really out there:

"Dr. Richard Bartlett discovered that what he once thought about the human body was just the tip of the iceberg ..." (Matrix Energetics, his book) Look into it.
