'I sincerely apologize' Former Police Chief Says Plea Made To Spare Wife




On the steps of the Schenectady County Couthouse Tuesday, former police chief Greg Kaczmark offered an apology.
The man who had spent 27 years in law enforcement, six of those as chief, was there as a criminal defendant to plead guilty to drug possession. He was accused of participating in a large scale drug operation from which two dozen people were indicted.

The long road for the former Police Chief, Greg Kaczmarek, in law enforcement is finally. In addition to losing his position, he will also now lose his retirement from the City of Schenectady. Considering the fact that he was a major player in the dug case for which he has plead guilty, he should be glad that he is expected to get only getting two years in a State Correctional Facility. His wife is expected to only get six months in the Schenectady County Jail.
