The Big Picture

Here's a site which attempts to give an overview of the world's current situation, explaining everything from the Bush administration's oil wars, to the impending energy crisis, to peak oil, to the NWO. It looks a bit long, but a great read.

The problem now arises out of the all to briefly mentioned Peak Oil Crisis. Unlike solar energy, fossil fuels are a non-renewable resource, once they're used up they are gone. The discovery of new oil reserves peaked in the 1960's. US oil production peaked in the early 1970's, and it is predicted that world oil production will peak within the next 2 years if it hasn't already. In November of 2003 the oil industry was buzzing about the development of a "huge" new oil field, the largest found on British territory in 10 years. This "huge" new find will supply the world with oil for 5 and a quarter days. Every year we use 4 times as much oil as we find. As the population grows and as society becomes more industrialized, demand for energy obviously rises. The fact that there is only a limited supply of oil and natural gas means that somewhere along the line the production of these sources will peak and begin to rapidly decline. As the supply depletes, demand will continue to climb causing prices to skyrocket. To drastically understate this, if world oil production peaks in 2004, by 2010 the price of gas for our cars will be the least of our worries. Almost every current human endeavor from transportation, to manufacturing, to electricity to plastics, and especially food and water production is inextricably intertwined with oil and natural gas production. Simply stated, we can expect economic collapse, war, widespread starvation and a mass die-off of the world's population. No longer will we have the aid of fossil fuels to enhance the production of food, the world will literally starve to death. Economies will collapse alongside civilization. It has been predicted that between 500 million and 2 billion will survive the oil crash; that is a mere 10% of our current population. The worst case scenario is complete extinction, as the wars that will accompany the worldwide oil shortage will likely be the most horrific and widespread that humanity has ever experienced. The catastrophic effects of this impending energy crash are too deplorable for most of us to currently acknowledge.

Look at Shell and the # they are in at the moment.
They have been overstating their supplies and it is across the board with all of the major oil companies, they always overstate and inflate their share prices.

so maybe we are running out of oil? dont forget that scare in the 70s and 80s about a publication that states that reserves will run out by 2000. They were wrong!

The whole energy situation is a rip of anyway. there are much cheaper means of energy, but fossil fuels have provided a monopoly for those in power for a hundred years. The first cars were electric , then booted out with petrol powered cars.

The problem is that in the current global economy EVERYTHING is based on fossil fuels. It is an Oil enonomy. So if that goes pear shaped then the entire globalised ecoonomic framework will shatter into a million pieces. And we are all pretty much #ed.
