You fail to face the facts. It was Obama vs. McCain. McCain lost. If Bush caused many to lose faith in the republican party, then so be it.

Why take away from Obama's success due to Bush's failures? That's just downright irrational.

I take away nothing because there is nothing to take away.
Haven't you ever heard of the Problem, Reaction, Solution technique?

They intentionally create a problem (Bush), to get a reaction (unadulterated Bush hating sentiment), in order so that they can then provide us with the very solution they wanted to implement in the first place (Obama).

But of course many are still giddy over the election and hungover from the KoolAid to even notice what has happened.

So again, nothing was taken away.

From the looks of it, I guess this means conspiracy theories are now dead
