Dalai Lama's view of Bush will not surely sit well with those who have been using the President as a scapegoat for their own personal failures, but
Dalai Lama had a point here:
Bush received the Tibetan leader in the White House in October 2007, angering the Chinese government.
One needs to have some guts to anger the Chinese who hold some 24% of US Treasury Bills and Bonds bought by foreigners. Bush wasn't an ass kisser --
that's for sure.
In September this year, China warned the US to stop interfering in its affairs after Bush called the Dalai Lama to voice concerns over the exiled
Tibetan spiritual leader's health.
No kidding! The Chinese government regards the health of Dali Lama its own affair and dares to councel the US President what to say or not in this
respect!
The Chinese government is an obvious danger to mankind.

Its great a man such as the Dalai Lama has a relatively positive opinion on the man. I am in complete agreement with him.

Is this intended to be ironic?

This is the Dalai Lama we are talking about here. Being kind and understanding is kind of his thing isn't it? I would be much more surprised to
see him bad mouth Bush.

Dalai Lama invitations from abroad decreased proportionately with growing Chinese economic influence. So he seems to appreciative of George Bush in
this regard. What do you think would happen if he suddenly showed up inside GM headquarters? If lucky, the security would just throw him out of the
window.

yeah, a criminal killer is still lovely just because he is frank and honest, this is the logic of Dalai.
so, Dalai loves everybody giving his favor no matter how bloody he/she is, openness can cleanse every crime.
but, where is the spirit of Buddha?

A mass murderer can never be frank and honest.
Just keep what politicians say at face value.

I was talking about Dalai Lama, but if Bush helped him up the stairs, they would fly out of the window both at once. Didn't you forget who caused GM
to beg for the bailout?
That's right. The baby killer George Bush.

I can understand why he likes Bush - Bush is hilarious. I can't think of a single more bumbling orator, or man who misses the point on so many
disastrous occasions.

I would still be more inclined to see the bastard tried and convicted. And no, there is nothing you can say that would ever changed my mind.
Unless you can prove Bush wasn't there these last 8 years, I'd be willing to buy that with all the vacation time he took.

George Bush made his first huge mistake when he succumbed to the enraged, vengeful screams after 9/11 and decided to go after bin Laden to
Afghanistan. See, during such an operation, innocent civilians could be killed.
Just clean the mess in Manhattan, and watch the airports more closely so it wouldn't happen again. But the Americans wanted blood.
The second huge mistake George Bush made was to notice that nobody called him a war criminal during the Afghan operation. That encouraged him to
occupy Iraq back in 2003 to undo Truman who nuked Japan and Rooswelt who burned some 70,000 civilians alive in Dresden in Feb. 1945.
