Soviet cosmonauts conceal truth about UFOs
english.pravda.ru
Former Soviet cosmonaut Vladimir Kovalenok appeared at a press conference devoted to unusual and anomalous phenomena in space. He said that he
had witnessed something inexplicable during his work on board the Salyut orbital station. The cosmonaut said that he once saw a strange object on
Earth’s orbit. (visit the link for the full news article)

Interesting soty from the russians coming to light. I am convinced there is a huge cover up from space agencies across the planet to keep this secret
secret until they can explain or even control it.
How many more testimonies from high value witnesses such as pilots, cosmonauts and govt officials for the media to take this subject seriously?

I dont doubt he saw something!
But what made him wait so long to say anything?
The Soviet union collapsed over a decade ago what was he afraid of?
Sounds like he was haunted by $$

Nice find
The dumbbell-like object disappeared before the other cosmonaut was ready to photograph it.
The UFO footage shot by Buzz Aldrin on the way to the moon appears to be dumbell shaped
(object at 1:42):
Cheers Karl

I understand that but over 17 years?
Just seems a little long if you ask me.

I'm sorry but the OP's story is very minor. OK so he (Soviet cosmonaut) saw something in Earth's orbit that he could not identify, this happens all
the time on planet Earth. No photo's, no evidence.... no story.

It's not an easy thing to admit to, I was in my 20's before I talked to anyone about experinces from my childhood. It's not easy because of the
attitudes you cop from people.
You have to remember the military environment these people are trained and exist in. From reading the article it doesn't look like he is getting
paid anything for coming forward.

While Savinykh was trying to find the camera, the object exploded in front of Kovalenok’s eyes. The object split into two parts and had
something like a bridge connecting those parts. The dumbbell-like object disappeared before the other cosmonaut was ready to photograph
it.
Someone else took the picture of it back in 1990.

I was about to post this article. Saw it in the week and found it quite interesting.
Especially this part:
Psychologists often warn cosmonauts prior to their space missions that they may experience a phenomenon known as the altered state of
consciousness. A Russian cosmonaut said in 1994 that he and his partner had numerous visions when they were working on board the Mir station for six
months. It seemed to them that they were turning into weird creatures – animals and even humanoids of extraterrestrial origin.
english.pravda.ru...
These cosmonauts were already guinea pigs, I wonder if more than the effects of space travel were being tested.

During the height of my "UFO interest" so to speak, back in the 1990's, it seemed to me that the former USSR was far more open about it's dealings
in the field of UFO's than the West.
I found it puzzlingly ironic actually, that they would be so secretive about many things, but when it came to UFO's, there seemed to be alot more
"official" information around from the Soviets than the Western nations.
I can't remember specifics (I'm sure a google on the subject would help) but there are plenty of reports and details of the subsequent investigation
around from the entire Soviet era.
Maybe this isn't the first time this guy has spoken about this, maybe it's just the first time you've heard about this.

Here is an article from 2005 detailing this guy's
account and by the looks of it, Soviet press covered the event widely at the time. I don't speak Russian though, so I could not verify that, if it's
possible.
