I am posting this video because not only did it impress me upon an artistic level, I was also struck by the idea that this type of art most certainly
can be used, or has been used to manipulate a population into believing something that isn't there actually is.
I realize that there are many videos of laser process art here, I searched for 3D laser video display and came up with nada. So, here you go, some
wow type of stuff.

From an artistic standpoint it is absolutely amazing what they did. As far as using it to manipulate or make us believe in something thats not
there... some of it worked a lot better than others. A good chunk of it (such as the water, and oil dripping down the side) didnt feel real... just
felt as a great exercise in projection technology. While others (the giant human face, etc) did really give the feeling of 3D, however I dont know if
it would translate as well if I was right there.
If this technology is out now on an artistic way, the government probably DOES have much better revisions on this technology so i could see it
happening.

Thanks for the reply. I agree that some of the effects look better than others; I also agree that this is an example to the public, and that equates
to US controlling something similar years ago. I think it is best simply to see it and realize that wow, this is pretty amazing stuff and how can it
be used?

I don't know about manipulating the public for nefarious purposes, but I can tell you this I'm never going to trust another ghost video again

There is an extensive discussion of the possibilities and limitations of laser holography as a tool of deception in the thread linked below.

The holy grail of holography is the 3d image projected in thin air. This has already been done to create rudimentary images by using lasers to make
self illuminating plasmas in mid air. Has the process been developed and refined in the black by the military? Most people would say no. Will it be?
We will have to wait and see, but will we even know it when we see it?
