Was the abrahamic god the worst serial killer in human history?

If we are to take the abrahamic texts and sects seriously (judaism/christianity/islam) then it appears their god-far from being a nice,caring,fluffy,lovey-dovey old man- is in fact the most
vicious,malicious,malevolent,vindictive and deranged serial killer in human history:

I've always said that God's bodycount was staggering, I just never added it up.

Suddenly you have to wonder if Satan hasn't just been getting a bad rap all these years.

He doesn't even have a bodycount!

I was hoping to see if Ashley D has come into the thread. This lady is always so sweet about a God who condemns.

Funny how God likes to kill those he tells not to kill.

I have reread the bible over and over again. Seems to me there might be lower and higher Gods. In genesis one paragraph refers to a Higher God but i forgot what the passage was.

My eyes were wide open when I read the bible cover to cover as a teenager, and I would never do it again. It truly frightened me. What also frightened me is that many believe and stand up for the God depicted in this book. Whereas if I was meeting him, I'd immediately be holding on and waiting for the real God to show up, and that God I feel in my heart. But despite this political poor depiction of God, this doesn't negate the spirituality of people, who throughout the ages have had that inner sense to seek their Creator and a core need to.

Children are intelligent and always question things. Children fear easily. Those children do not dare to question their religious parents and grow up with it being pushed onto them and it takes them will to seek out God for themselves. Unless it was totally driven into them because of their nationality and culture then they will always believe the book.

Yah...and then moderates say fundamentalists are crazy and are taking the bible out of context blah blah Fundamentalists know the bible better than most moderates and follow it pretty well,no cherry picking from them.Course the bible contradicts itself so many times aswell...hell your better of just reading a half decent book instead and throwing the bible away.

Don't forget that the god of the OT was based upon the god of the Sumerian's....who was not from Earth. Google "Enlil , Jehovah" and you will see the similarities.

The Genesis garden of Eden- fall of man concept is a rip off of a Sumerian text , "Adapa and The South Wind" , with alterations made to the original to suit the writer of Genesis. In the Sumerian pantheon "An" (or "Anu") was "god almighty" (The Ancient of Days Daniel was talking to ? ) while Enlil, his son was given kingship over the earthlings. Enlil was not a nice person.

In the original Sumerian tale it was Enlil (Jehovah) who sent the flood but ENKI who warned a few people about it, NOT Jehovah....

Yes, this god, or rather "gods" were tyrannical . Reading the OT from beginning to end was what made me leave a religious group I was studying with at the time (back some 13 yrs ago now). I was appalled by the activities of this god .

According to the Sumerians, one of the Annunaki factions were known as "The Igigi " (the watchers...GRIGORI in Hebrew). These were "lesser gods" who did the dogsbody work for the higher Annunaki. They got tired of their being used and staged a revolt. The grand council of Annunaki lead by ANU decreed that new beings would be fashioned to take over the dogsbody work - hence the creation of modern man. The Igigi eventually began to copulate with these new creations, producing a hybrid race known as The Nephilim in the Bible. According to Abraham there were several races of these giants and the Annunaki gods wanted then wiped off the face of the earth .

Anyway, to cut a long story short the original "gods" (Elohim, Annunaki) were extraterrestrial in origin and very much saw man as their property. The Igigi are the "fallen angels " of the bible...the faction of Annunaki who rebelled.

The ancient astronaut/gods theory is talked about in almost every culture on earth, most creation tales around the globe speak of the same thing. These gods used to dwell on earth quite openly but gradually took more and more of a "behind the scenes" influence. I do not think they have gone away but are instead working through the secret societies and "elite" bloodlines. We are being prepared for full disclosure of the UFO presence, and these beings will be presented as our friends, here to help humanity work towards a new "golden age". But that's another topic........

Wow that was eye opening thankyou cosmic pixie will look into the sumerian texts.
I grew up a catholic but never felt connected to the religion as in i always wanted to feel free bodied and experience the world and not feel like i was created to be in a jail cell called earth which is what it seems like now.

With your last comment about ET's coming for the golden age are you speaking of the higher or lower Et's?

Cosmic pixie- thanks for the reply,perhaps its precisely because the abrahamic mythologies are so vague and open to interpretation that there exists so many and differing schools of opinion on them-its certainly interesting speculation that they are derived from the Sumerian texts.
Maybe the only constant factor in all these various biblical interpretations is the body count of 33 million people at the hands of the main protagonist.

This topic is very important for our species as a whole unit.

Christ taught us how to weigh a vine from a seed...through seeking the vines nature, you will know the nature of the seed.

I think the Bible clearly shows us 2 different energies. A negative, wrathful and prideful energy that is tied to this material world AND a God of patients, grace and mercy who ONLY acts in righteous ways because the is Holy.

Weigh the vine from the seed, I find it no mistake that the Bible that is presented to us has these conflicting stories. Gods intent if FOR US TO WEIGHT IT FOR OURSELVES, COME TO CONCLUSION THROUGH YOUR HEART AND INTUITION THAT GOD GAVE YOU, WE ARE PRESENTED THESE 2 DIFFERENT ENERGIES FOR A REASON, GOD IS SHOWING US 2 DIFFERENT MASTERS>THROUGH A TRUE SEEKER< ONE WILL WEIGH THE VINE AND SEE A SEED OF HATE AND A SEED OF LOVE>YOU CHOOSE YOUR MASTER< DONT LET ANOTHER MAN CHOOSE YOUR MASTER FOR YOU. I said nothing about Nibiru or cycles and as for the ET thing, it's a conclusion drawn from what nearly all ancient cultures around the world speak of. I've spent hundreds of hours researching alot of stuff, if you choose to laugh at my informed opinions, so be it.

The OT tales of creation are simply a rip off from the sumerian originals.

The ET's in question ...which the Maitreya is to act as a kind of spokesman for...are, I believe, those who have had a hand in controlling the world since word go. Those that have been around for millenia, albeit keeping a low profile since the OT days. These ET's will come as friends, but are not our friends.

The Maitreya of Share International , an organization with ties to the UN and therefore the NWO plans, is to usher in the new age religion that has been planned for the best part of the last 100 years. We all know how disclosure has been ramping up this past year, and as you read around the Share International site you'll see how closely tied into the UFO phenomena this Maitreya is. Share International is a non profit organization with close ties to a branch of the UN that deals with peace keeping. They publish a magazine internationally where various high profile people, UN dignitaries included, comment and write articles.

Maitreya has made various "prophecies" over the past few decades , including one of a global financial collapse. This is the one he has been waiting to see come to pass before he emerges onto the world scene more...after a couple of years of him making an impression around the world there's to be a global link up of TV and radio where he will appear and "beam" his thoughts and mission plan into the minds of the viewers/listeners.

Basically,Maitreya is the returned Christ, Buddah, Muhammed, etc, all rolled into one..."the world teacher". When you understand how all major world religions have been set up intentionally by these ET's to divide and conquer mankind, you realize this Maitreya is NOT the "antichrist" but the very "messiah" all world religions have been awaiting. There is no "bad guy" before him and no "good guy" coming after him...it is just him, and his alien freinds who over time he plans to help manking get aquainted to.

It's interesting that according to an article on Share International's website (which I've seen elsewhere too) that the UN are planning for FULL disclosure of the ET presence in the year 2013.....this would of course all tie in with their plan to allow for a mass UFO presence around the time of Maitreya's global "day of declaration" which is planned to occur 2012 . They are planning to allow for the mass presence and clearly understand the world will be foaming at the mouth for answers which can no longer be avoided....but obviously WHAT they tell us will be what they want us to hear.

This would all be just another crackpot view if it weren't for the fact this Maitreya and his organization has close ties to the UN. Alot of people realize the elite want to create some new "world religion" to go with their "one world government"...what many are failing to factor in is the UFO/ET element....which is very real and very much a part of the whole story...........it has been for countless millenia.

I felt the Presence in my heart as a child reading Jesus and some passages in the new testament. That feeling changed my life, and I knew without a question that dying may be frightening but death no longer was. I was raised in a very open minded family, where my father was athiestic, as was my maternal grandfather for years, but my maternal grandmother was Catholic. So my spiritual journey began as I was very addicted to the most incredible Presence and knew everything but this truly paled in comparison.

That being said, the Bible truly frightened me to my core. I knew God was different than depicted and that everyone and everything returned home, and that we were on a long journey of evolution. I knew God was not proud and vain, didn't demand adoration and was in fact humble, extremely intelligent, and loving. The planet depopulating, war-mongling guy written there was a political human symbol. Now, I really see the et links to the whole thing, especially if you read the book of Enoch. Its as though two different sets of ets with two different agendas, one wishing to keep us dumbed down, sort a dna garden test tube, the other, assuming we were being prepped for cosmic entrance, as we were their dna children. Though there was also much talk about corruption too before the flood and human sacrifice, so it may be they were both wrong, and each right in some ways. The situation has changed with us to some extent, including their own goals with us. The classic groups that worked here for thousands of years also made many mistakes in the beginning and have grown up too.

But Spirituality and faith, even simply, as a Christian, upgrading to living a modern, more gnostic faith of seeking God through prayer and meditation, and not living out the dictates of an ancient manuscript 2,000-6,000 years except perhaps perhaps to seize the jewels there. The parts that misunderstand human biology, and promote persecution of women, children, gays, or simply are barbaric and uninformed need to be upgraded ASAP. My faith is too strong to be caught up in the sematics many use quoting the Bible, I know its flawed, it doesn't stop my faith, or my appreciation for Jesus and His message of selfless service, dying to self, forgiving and loving.
