What an ironic name for a supporter of china.......chinawhite. Sounds like a name for a horrible 70s drug movie. I laugh at the thought of china extending its broken system into the seas. The only chinese navy I see having any effect is one filled with pimply faced hackers.

So having a democracy will help China how?. Australia and China are to vastly different places. China has no tradtion of elections or "rule of law" which was inherited from the British and revolutions in France and America. Magna Carta, Declaration of independence set the precedent for democracy which only really developed in the 1960's civil rights movements etc. If China were to have elections for a national government it would be chaos as regional powers in China would fight for power. Looking at other dictatorships turned democracies like Korea/Japan/Taiwan shows that China is heading in the right path

Was Howard any better?. I remembered the protest against the wars in Iraq and how howard was accused of doing anything the Americans told him. Australias economic future is with China, its a win win relationship economically compared to the Americans who are our main competitions in wheat and beef
