Star-Wars actually developed into a HUGE satellite program which allows our military to zoom in on your bathroom if we want and take a picture of your face taking a crap. If you think that is useless, well you don't understand the military very well do you.

SDI or Star-Wars was a program aimed to develop Anti-Ballistic detection and defense programs aimed to prevent the Soviets ICBM attacking the US and other allies. They include Anti-ballistic missiles and lasers hence the name


What you described refers to the Key Hole (KH-11/12/13) satellites which was a different program

You can argue that the key hole program is different than Star-Wars however the technology is all stemming from the same place: American military.

Quit defending China's human rights. No matter what you say we all know that they are atrocious. I am no longer putting words into your mouth, you are by definition defending China.

By the way, it wasn't the government who told us that the Chinese are strong in web censorship - it was actually Google whom informed me.

How does the Type 730 compare to the American Phalanx system?

And do you know when China plans to launch their first nationally designed carrier?

Those seem like the two most pressing concerns for the Chinese to be able to compete with other navies.

Both systems are of similar performance although the Type 730 has a bigger round compared to the Phalanx.
