Here is the current list of Frigates, Destroyers and Submarines in the PLAN.

Destroyers

2 - Type 052C Lanzhou class

WEAPON SYSTEMS
2 X 4-cell launcher, with eight YJ-62 (C-602) anti-ship missiles, active radar-homing to 280km; sea-skimming; seeker acquisition range 40km

8 X Air defence missile VLS (6 front, 2 rear), with 48 HQ-9 radar homing (TVM)

2 - Type 052B Guangzhou class

2 X 9M317 Shtil (SA-N-12 Grizzly) launcher, command/semi-active radar and IR homing to 38km at Mach 3; warhead 70kg; 48 missiles; multiple channels of fire

2 X Type 730, 7-barrel 30mm, 4,600~5,800 rds/min to 3km

1 X Kamov Ka-28 Helix or Harbin Z-9C



2 - Type 051C Luzhou class

1 - Type 051B Luhai class

HQ-7 1 X 8-cell launcher 8 missiles + 8 spare Air defence missile, line-of-sight guidance to 13km at mach 2.4; warhead 14kg

Type 76A 4 X dual-barrel Anti-aircraft artillery, 180 rounds/min to 8.5km; weight of shell 1.42kg




2 - Project 956 Sovremenny class

Frigates

2 - Type 054 Ma'anshan class

YJ-83 4 X four-cell launcher Anti-ship missile; active radar-homing to 150km at Mach 0.9, warhead 165kg, sea-skimming

4 - Type 054A (2 under construction)

YJ-83 4 X four-cell launcher Anti-ship missile; active radar-homing to 150km at Mach 0.9, warhead 165kg, sea-skimming

32-cel 4 X 8-cell VLS, with 48 9M317 missiles, semi-active radar-homing to 38km. Its unconfirmed whether they are 9M317 missiles but its been widely reported to be them.

2X Type 730, 7-barrel 30mm, 4,600~5,800 rds/min to 3km



12 - Type 053H Jianghu I class
5 - Type 053H1 Jianghu II class
1 - Type 053HT-H Jianghu IV class
6 - Type 053H1G Jianghu V class

3 - Type 053H2 Jianghu III class
8 C-801 Anti-ship missiles

4 - Type 053H2G Jiangwei I class
6 C-801 Antiship missiles, 6 Cell HQ-61B SAM

10 - Type 053H3 Jiangwei II class
8 C-803 Antiship missiles, HQ-7 SAM in 8 cell confirguration

Total number of Frigates = 47 Ships



Patrol boats

40+ - 022 HOUBEI Class Fast Attack Craft

These are interesting little vessels who use their catamaran hull design and stealth features to launch their anti ship missiles

Conventional submarines

16 - Type 039A/G Song-class
There is roughly 16 of these in service, they are also quite modern and have been equipment with mdoern C4I. Its capable of firing the C-80X series underwater which makes them more potent.

12 - Kilo-class

These are the spearhead of chinas submarine force. Very potent and quiet with its Klub-S missile system. Might be fitted with AIP in the future, adding alot more capability for only a little bit more money. There are 2 Kilo 877EKM which are the downgraded export variants, 2 further improved 636 variants which are quietened Kilo submarines while china had just finishing recieving 8 more further imporved 636M submarines

3 - Yuan-class
There is apparantly three of these. One of them is fitted with AIP and denoted with A for a improved variant. These submarines might become the fore front of chinas submarine force in the coming years, compementing the Kilo force

18 - Type 035 Ming-class
There are 18 of these submarines in service. Not very modern, but have been upgrade in recent years
