Showing it in various colors doesn't make it any less of a rock.
Do you have some chemical analysis of it that indicates it either is or was wood? No?
Then the most you can say about it is "looks a little like a wooden beam."
Yippee.

I didn't say it was anything one way or another man, I'm just presenting options for others to view, but thank you for your opinion

Another "rock" in this photograph has interesting play on light and shadow.
There are lots of parallel structures in this photograph.

That could easily be a rock. Rocks come in all shapes and sizes, that's the problem here with all these findings.
If it was wood, why would a piece of wood like that be in the middle of nowhere by itself? It wouldn't make sense right?

Yeah you are right winds could do it.
Especially if they were like 400-500kmh constantly.
Could have the same affect as water.
Its really impossible to say if this is wood unless the rover goes up to it and takes a sample.
And even then they are not going to tell us there is wood on mars because they are compulsive liars.

I don't believe in NASA.
So then, this picture..... IF it is from Mars, that's what looks like the ruins of a village/house. That wood is as plain as day : cut wood.
So my dilemma is to think this is a real pic (for once), and NASA stuffed up by letting it through. Or this is an attempt to soften us up to let us
know there is/was life on Mars - and we didn't bring this enough attention at the time.
NASA have the mind control thing down to a fine art, so either way I am totally suspicious of anything "NASA". Imagine if they were infultrated by
someone that let the lid off all thier secrets and dealings...

A pretty compelling photo that has struck a raw nerve in a lot of you. But use your intelligence. Water and wind erosion DO NOT cause rocks to have
straight almost perfect geometric angles. IMHO this can only be what it appears to be; a piece of wood. You can even see the grain in it. And yes it
could even be rock; ie. Petrified wood. And what is petrified wood? Rock! Open your eyes a little more and resist the urge to dismiss it without
proper consideration.
Its of my opinion that this is another strategic planned & controlled leak designed to either gauge the general populous' opinion on life on Mar's
or its another 'seed' planted into our minds to slowly get us used to the idea that life exists elsewhere in the universe.
What's also interesting in this pic is that their appears to be the rover's tracks heading in the direction of the aforementioned alleged piece of
wood which would indicate that that object was of some interest to NASA and that they have probably got better close up pics of it.

I was at first going to say it was probably one of theirs, the black op stuff, but its old. Very old. The trees I have no problem with, they're all
over mars. I've posted many pictures of them, as well as the standing lakes, with evidence of Nasa picture tampering from marsanomalyresearch.com.
That piece of wood wasn't left there by us. Probably by the tall nordic ets that lived there, the ones that were linked to lemuria.

Wow...everyone pretty much thinks its a rock and are having a intelligent debate about it. Then along comes you with your delusions and ruin a very
good conversation. Oh well guys it was great while it lasted..now the alien fanatics will be putting thier 2 cents in. A very advanced race once
lived on MArs...but all they left behind to show what is left of thier advanced technology was this one supposed log... sure bud.

Would someone please tell me what that long silvery looking thing is? It's about 3/4 to the right in the first photo. It looks like a push pin. Some
kind of marking device used by NASA for their photos?

This article also shows picture of "trees" that have been completely destroyed with newer higher res pics. So....they are wong on one thing and
based the chemical makeup of another object on its shape...anyone have an issue with the credibility here?

That's a track mark from the rover.
This thing is a rock. The entire area in the photograph is made up of slabs of rock just like it, but this one happens to have it's edge exposed.
The structure of the rock and weathering makes it look like rotted wood. I know this because this photo has been discussed here about a dozen times
before. There ARE anomalies on Mars, but this is just a rock.

You missed a couple of those tread looking marks at even intervals leading up to the rover.

The Giants Causeway is subject to wave and water erosion which erodes weak joints. The hexagonal shape of this basalt rock is due to its geological
formation.
