More firing in the Oberoi and Taj, (possibly more terrorists than anticipated?)
Also more explosions at the Oberoi.

Not sure, but Im watching the "live"feed. This may well be delayed to prevent the terrorists finding out whats going on.
Major General Houda of the Indian army just said that the NSG commandos are reporting back that the terrorists are speaking in a dialect of Urdu. He
also reiterated that the captured terrorist (from Trident) has been confirmed as being from Pakistan.
This is definitely not good news.
Asif Ali Zardari has offered support to Sonia Gandhi in the matter; however that is a standard operating procedure.
Narendra Modi, the firebrand Hindutva politician of Gujarat is also coming to Bombay. If nuclear war can be avoided, it will be an equally difficult
task to avoid religious violence, as Modi and the Shiv Sena have a reputation of whipping up a storm of anti-muslim sentiment.

We have to wonder and contemplate the response from India if evidence links to Pakistani involvement. Only a few hours ago did the Indian Prime
Minister state he would no longer tolerate neighbours providing a haven for terrorists.

Don't need evidence, india will blame pakistan and ISI without giving it a second thought.
The question that keeps coming to my mind is why would Pakistan/ISI wana target civillians and blow up hotels in india espicially when Pakistan itself
gets grilled everyday by US drones??Pakistan normally concentrates on indian army and its bases in kashmir and sorrounding LOC regions where it has an
advantage.Killing civillians, espicially westerners is definetly not Pakistan's style and won't get Pakistan anywhere.
This Deccan Mujahideen, sounds like some hollywood figures in some crakpot islamophobic film.
Who are the Deccan Mujahideen? seems like no one even knows of them never mind heard of them, the media does like to play mind games at times with
titles of terrorist cells.
Relationship with India was going very well until this Bull crap took place.
I personally think its a plot to distabalize Pakistan more with pressure from India while US gets 1 more excuse to bomb the crap outa Pakistani
Northern regions.
I hope China jumps in to help its pal.Otherwise Pakistan has to pull out its nukes as a last resort before it gets carpet/cluster bombed to cave-man
age.

This is what Jay in AZ and I were saying from the beginning. These are NOT run of the mill terrorist forces. The obvious level of communication,
combat skill, precision and funding points to something big. The fact that so many are escaping also points to this.

i agree.
Co-ordination and tactics of this kind point to some kind of combat training.
No way they are random extreamists with bombs.
These guys have had major training and are backed by a major orgenisation.
Still its going to be 24 hours soon and fatigue will be kicking in.
They are sure to slip up and then they will be delt with.

There just seems to be so many contradictory reports on whether there are/were hostages. Whether they terrorists are speaking Urdu or Punjabi.
Apparantly one of the captured terrorists is confirmed to be from Faridkot, Pakistan but then NDTV also says some of the terrorists pretending to be
from Hyderabad.

I havent seen any reports of terrorists escaping. If any have escaped from any of the hotels that would be an inexcusable failure on the part of the
security forces.
I would be very surprised if they managed to slip past what must be a considerable police cordon.
Certainly 20 terrorists escaping is actually impossible, since only 26 were there to start with, 3 escaped in a car before going into a hotel
(possibly the underworld elements), 6 are dead and 1 was captured alive.
Taj is not clear; all hostages have been freed. There are still terrorists holed up inside the Taj however, fires still rage.

SO if they are indian, hows Pakistan related to this whole scenario?
Why hasn't india done more to totally get rid of this organisation when they found it's has involvement in terrorist activities?
Only banning them isn't enough!
One thing for sure though, this is definetly not an ISI job.Doesn't serve them good in any way. They mainly concentrate on millitary objectives not
killing civillians.

CNN is now talking about the group LET. I got some info about them awhile back and posted a link but I'll do it again.
Formed in 1990 in the Kunar province of Afghanistan, the Lashkar-e-Toiba (also known as Jama’at-ud-Da’awa) is based in Muridke near Lahore in
Pakistan and is headed by Hafiz Muhammad Saeed.

Exactly - how can 20 have escaped? That's ridiculous but it's still going across the bottom of the screen as breaking news at
this link
At the moment it seems to be different things reported on different news stations, blogs, twitter, radio, etc. Way too many contradictions at the
moment and it doesn't seem like anyone actually knows for sure what's happening.
Update - I just looked at the site again and the bottom says that 20 terrorists entered Mumbai - how can 20 have entered and 20 escaped when they've
arrested some and killed others?! Crazy reporting changing every few minutes it seems.

From the source you provided.
If that happens, Pakistan will find itself in a nutcracker. On the one side, the Indians will be threatening action — deliberately vague but
menacing — along with the Americans. This will be even more intense if it turns out, as currently seems likely, that Americans and Europeans were
being held hostage (or worse) in the two hotels that were attacked. If the attacks are traced to Pakistan, American demands will escalate well in
advance of inauguration day.
That's exactly my flippin point.Pakistan will get sandwiched if India decides to mass millitary at borders and confront Pakistan.Doesn't make
sense!!!
I got a feeling though manmohan singh is not one of those hot headed hindu craknut politician who relaliate straight away,he will take his time and
analyse the situation.
