Sad day for the bureau, and sadder for Sam Hick's family. A well-liked agent and rising star, struck down so young. He always volunteered to "go in the door first", showing courage and committment, knowing the risks.

Some would say it's not tragic to die, doing what you love-but I'm sure his wife and son think differently.

Was it unnecessary? I say YES! Maybe the FBI could have placed a call first, before surrounding the house to serve thier warrant. Or enlist a neighbor to draw the man out of the house, to tell him the FBI is there...or some other tactic, I don't know, what do you think?

Perhaps law enforcement should re-consider thier priorities, after all, drug busts don't seem as important to me, as say, investigating corruption in our gov.!

Maybe the FBI has used too much heavy force in the past, and karma caught up!?!
