Americans FEAR their own government

Truelies, I think that you need to practice what you are spewing out...tollerance...you need to realize that you are going to get mud slung at you in this forum. Don't go off on people for slinging it, but just wait for your shot if that's what you are hell bent on doing. I personally don't believe that you have all your Biblical fact's right. Yeah, I believe that credit is a bad thing. I don't think that a person should be so dependent on a paycheck that if something happened they wouldn't eat till the next pay day, but, I disagree with you on the point that we shouldn't have to work "cause it's against God's word." That's just plain wrong, and, if you would read the Bible, you would know it. What ever happened to "if you don't work, you don't eat"? Did that go out the window when you decided to create your own version of what freedom meant? You are forgetting the whole premise of what freedom costs. It cost's a lot, even if you go back to Biblical times into the days of Moses. To free themselves from the Egyptians, the Israelies had to wander in the desert for 40 years. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater dude. It don't work that way. Also, don't you suppose that in those days, everyone had a job to do? Or do you think that they brought their butlers and maid's out with them? You don't hold all truth in your head, so stop acting as though you are all knowing and all seeing...only one man ever was, and you don't impress me as one who walked with him them and know his thoughts. Second... I'll take you at your word. If you will provide your phone number and promise to respond ASAP, the very next time I'm accosted by a mugger, robber, thief, rapist, or murderer, I'll call you. I just know you'd come running immediately to provide aid.

I'm not saying there aren't problems. Lord knows there's more than enough to go around for everyone who wants to be involved. However, if you'd simply rather sit on the sidelines and scream how society is part of some large conspiracy, that the police are there to beat you and take away your toys, etc. etc. etc. And ... You aren't willing to get involved in change other than giving the appearance of a ranting goofball, then you have nothing to offer. You have no added value to a solution, and that, makes you part of the conspiracy and the problem.

My sister is a kind of person like that. She thinks that the gofernmebt NEVER lies that they NEVER hide anything that EVERYTHING they do is for the good of the people and i keep on telling her she fuking crazy and she just keeps n believing the government. She really pisses me off, and she also like Bush and i hate him. I say he sent soldiers to Iraq just to take over the country because he want his oil, and innocent people die everyday, and she says so what they are supposed to die its a war. What THE HELL does that have to do with anything I just said??? How about not belittling the issue, if you believe that the government is fair game, the scales are equally balanced, they don't have control issues, fine, it's your freedom... I'd be completey willing to listen to what you have to say if you'd make statements based upon some sort of fact to your beliefs. No one is denying that you should be able to think what you want about things...but you aren't even telling us what you're 'free' from. You just keep rambling on and on about how you've found 'truth'. Please indulge me in what this truth is.

I dont really fear the govornment. I have no qualms about breaking laws I find unsuitable. I have no fear, despite whatever tactics they attempt to employ, because Im beyond thier reach. I have nothing to take.

I think yes there is SOME corruption in government, I also believe that people in power, (gov, corp, $$$, ect) do keep secrets from the masses for many reasons. does this mean all secrets are bad? NO. Do i really need to know EVERYTHING? doubghtful.....Would knowing everything give me any chance to affect things anyway?

I trust BIG CORPORATIONS way less than i do government, as we elect our government, but a company is its own entity, with few checks directly from the employees. I believe there is way MORE corruption and lying with the corporations than there is with government. Hekll 1/2 my problems with government are because of LOBBYS PAID FOR BY CORPORATIONS to subvert the peoples will with $$$.

That is a huge deal for me too.

I think we should change a few things:

1) Disallow all companies to contribute to candidates
2) Eliminate lobbyists
3) Create "free" airtime for candidates for campaign adds.
4) Citizens can hold public office twice in the state and twice on the federal level (one term limit on all offices)

This would be a nice first step. I'd like to see big business the hell out of Washington.

LOl, no no no... First I just want to take time out to tell you that my ramblings aren't self righteous and I never told you that I knew everything, and to have a this is the right way to do things attitude...

I'm just pointing out things that people may or may not fear in their government. I know that the government/military/agencies want us to, to control us.
I'm saying that they use different kinds of tactics to control the masses, and i'm just wondering if people actually are in fear of their government...
Because they sure as hell want people to be.
And I am aware that people have to work, obviously they to survive, I however don't have a job job. I have a job but it's not one where I drive to and put in hours so I can get a paycheck.
