Obama Desecrates the Great Seal of the United States

It's all in the symbols!

-- Senator Obama's web site contains a subliminal visual image that radically alters the Great Seal of the United States, and superimposes his logo over the symbol of the flag.

Here are some of the differences.

  • The Great Seal of the U.S. features a bald eagle in repose, clutching an olive branch and arrows. The image is strong, confident, symmetrical and centered.

  • Obama's Great Seal features a bald eagle in panicky flight, racing off screen. The image is off-kilter, chaotic and in motion.

  • The U.S. eagle faces forward. Obama's eagle faces backwards, turning away from the viewer in its hasty retreat.

  • The U.S. eagle clutches an olive branch in one talon and a set of arrows in the other. It turns towards the olive branch, signifying America's preference for peace but readiness for war.

  • Obama's eagle drops the olive branch, whose leaves scatter as it flies away. Only one arrow remains. It pierces the center of the eagle's shield.

  • The U.S. Seal features a shield emblazoned in the eagle's center, symbolizing the American flag.

  • Obama's flag shield is off-balance, tilting beneath the retreating eagle. The flag shield is no longer the dominant visual motif. It has been superseded by the Obama logo of the rising sun.

  • The overall visual effect of the Great Seal of the United States is one of power, confidence and a nation at ease with its own identity.

The overall effect of Obama's Great Seal is of confusion, disarray, and a New World Order arising from Obama's ascending sun. The tilted lines of the shield subtly suggest the famous images of the steel girder ruins of the World Trade Center. It is as if Obama's sun is rising over the wreckage, heralding the flight of the American eagle and a new era of radical upheaval.

       Note the last line:

"Obama's sun is rising over the wreckage"

Why does the Obama seal ....

...look so much like this flag?

    Republic of Kyrgyzstan

A new, post-Communist, flag was not adopted until 1992. It is red, with a circular stylized representation of the roof of a Kyrgyz yurt (tent) in the centre, surrounded by the 40 rays of a golden sun. (Tradition has it that 40 tribes were united by the national hero Manas - who used the colour red on his banner - into the Kyrgyz nation.)

If the red flag represents a post-Communist nation, does the blue seal represent pre-Communism?

  • Hmm, an eagle in motion? Rather than this fixed, immutable, inflexible bird of prey who won't budge or refuses to move as the world around it moves?

  • The U.S. eagle faces forward. Obama's eagle faces backwards, turning away from the viewer in its hasty retreat.

  • Or maybe a leader looking of their shoulder at those that follow?

  • Is there two versions of this, or have the writers of this article got x-ray eyes. How can they see behind the circle with the sun and the landscape to know the eagle has dropped the olive branch?

  • Whilst I can understand Americans being 'concerned' about the lack of focus on a piece of cloth, but surely the rising sun of a new day is a pretty positive thing isn't it? People wanted that new day and the change that is said to have come with it.

  • I don't actually like the new design for quite a few of the aesthetic reasons touched on. It smacks to me as more of a 'portfolio piece' than some kind of working brief. I think it actually says more about Adobe's products than the American government.

This particular point is one of the most desperate things I've read on this board in years.

What in the name of Lord Krondar does "pre-communism" mean? That which happened before communism? Lots of things happened before communism in lots of places but did that mean communism came to be in all of them? It looks like you're desperate to make that connection with communism but the evidence you're using doesn't actually quite fit so you're just trying to hammer the point with anything you can think of. If you want to look at pre-communism, then lets look at the area known as Kyrgyzstan - after all, it's the one you're trying to shoehorn into this. What was their flag before communism? Surely that would make for a better comparison.

Better still, let's look at their flag under communism.

Oh noes! Red white and blue? A star? Some stripes? Run for the hills!!!!1

It's ironic that you've picked the Kyrgyzstan flag as it's fairly obvious they've been basing their own flags on America for a while.

Throw me a freakin' bone here people, this is a conspiracy site.

    What?
Are conspiracies dead now that Obama has gotten elected?
.. are we now picking and choosing what gets to be a conspiracy?

I am well aware the eagle appears in many forms on the seals and flags of many other countries.
    Why?
    I don't know.
Illuminati perhaps but my point is our current Presidential seal is, to a certain degree, somewhat sacred.
    So why change it?

    des e crate [des-i-kreyt]

–verb (used with object), -crat ed, -crat ing.
    1. to divest of sacred or hallowed character or office.
    2. to divert from a sacred to a profane use or purpose.
    3. to treat with sacrilege; profane.

This is a thread I had been planning on starting since before the election, but wasn't able to.

It is not meant to be "another hate Obama thread", I am just getting it out there.
Why you ask? ... because, unlike the many disrespectful Liberals here, I definitely don't plan on bashing our President while he is in office.

It's not "hate", it's more like "beware" and I'm just kinda getting it out of my system before he becomes President.
Sure, I know I have every right to criticize my Prez, but that right especially is one that you will surely lose, the more you abuse.

I am just pointing out the similarities between the two symbols from a standpoint that perhaps his mantra of "change" may be more, or completely different, than we might be expecting.

Sure people are so-o-o-o giddy and welcoming "change from George", but think about what that means.

Let me put on my Jerry Seinfeld hat and ask...

    What is change from George?
What type of Change and which George is he referring to?
    Could it be George Washington?
Will he turn my buck into change?
