Hi All,

I've been casually watching this forum for some time and I really enjoy the intelligent discussion. I've mostly been watching the people who have awakenings. I am a regular 30's something guy, have a child and wife with a good science related job. I always felt apprehensive about posting but tonight sealed the deal.
Until recently (that's how I found this board) I never gave any sort of mystical or strange occurrences a second thought. Let me explain; about eight months ago I started feeling strange, like I wasn't in my body and when talking it seemed like someone else. I blew it off as having a new child and stress. Then I started seeing triple digits everywhere, (I never heard of such a thing until it became way beyond coincidence and then i Googled) on my clock, addresses, source code, license plates etc..) . My mouth dropped open when I found seemingly normal people having the same experience. I am still having a hard time grasping if this is real or am I losing my mind.


I never went to church as it didn't seem right to me (my family is Catholic). Standing, sitting, kneeling, white smoke, eternal damnation and such. This part sounds weird but recently something was prodding me to research why religion didn't ring true to me. I studied constantly and through logical analysis came to the conclusion we are being brainwashed with religion because the bible has so many non logical concepts (this is my opinion).

Anyway about two months ago my true logic said this is not all there is and I felt a high for three days like I knew something special. I can't explain what that something is yet, but I keep searching.

This is where I need input. I have never meditated and I have to be honest it feels really silly. Today I tried to mediate (I was telecommuting) after seeing multiple three digits within an hour (sometimes I say in my head after seeing a barrage of three digit numbers in succession, what do you want me to do because it gets kind of irritating!!!!) . I sat up for about 30 minutes and cleared my mind and saw absolutely nothing and felt nothing. After the 30 minutes I started getting really cold and achy, like the flu but different. I laid down for a couple of hours and I started watching Monday Night Football and it dawned on me I could see perfectly. I had Lasic in 2000 and three years ago it started getting bad again. I had an eye exam three months ago and both eyes were 20/100. I know this could be good to some but I couldn't see farther than five feet without having major blur. My television is 15 feet away and I can see the fine print on the credits; before I couldn’t read the large names on the credits. Has anyone else experienced this? Also I'm starting to feel better as well, not so may aches and my severe headache is going away. Please be civil. Thanks!

A long time ago I was curious about a mention of a Russian monk in a book by J.D. Salinger. It may have been Franny and Zooey.
Anyway this monk had got hold of the concept of praying constantly.
Up til then I had meditated off and on but suddenly I began to realize that every waking moment could be seen as meditation.

There is a very old book called 'Prayer of the Heart' that has everything to do with this idea. The real title is in latin and I can't remember it.

Maybe you are being called into a meditative sort of union.

I think old skills that have been hidden are being reborn now because these skills are necessary for some kind of shift.

the numbers are probably a sign that your intuition is balancing within you. All I have to say, is go with the flow. Since you have the left brain down, work on developing the right brain. There is a completely different world surrounding you, that many are waking up to, and it seems the numbers are some of the first signs of this path.
To me, the numbers are just a way of the universe saying, youve mastered the left brain reality, now you are to master the right brain which has to do with things beyond the 3d, synchronisities or meaningful coincidences are tips of icebergs and are much more subtle than the tangible world. From my experience, I have gone from believing the dense rules the subtle, but it turns out, the subtle rules the dense. Things are not what they first appear, they are oh so so much more. Maybe contemplate on the nature of the number situations. And definitely, Im telling you, meditation will tell you infinitely more than any other human will. Meditate often, and soon you will find an inner teacher, a higher self, whatever you want to call it, this being, or entity or effigy, has all the answers, and gives them to you as you need them. You will most likely see your life change drastically for the better, and you might have a hard time explaining how you understand your right brain workings to other people, but that is not what matters, so long as you can seem sane in your mastery of the left brain, your spiritual journey is for you and your maker. When meditating or contemplating this path, all I have to say is listen to your heart more than you listen to the opinions of others, and do not hit the field with expectations, it will probably not be what you expected, and in the end, it will be so much more than you ever could have asked for. It really is pandora's box, and its really hard to try and forget such magical times.

This is your time of awakening. You (prior to coming back here) have made an agreement to assist in the ascension of mankind on this planet. Some will make it, some won't. Don't get too sentimental about it. It is as it is.

That's exactly the purpose. You're meant to see beyond the fluff. All that stuff was put there for the sheep. Only the "holy" can see the truth and that truth, in pieces, is contained within all religious texts.

It's coming. Use your dreams, go to reputable psychics to assist you if needs be, learn to meditate. I use qigong/chi kung (depending upon your locale's preferred spelling) but yoga, taichi and walking work just as well. The only thing you need to achieve in meditation is to clear your mind.

You may find that these types of "healings" may disappear. Sometimes this is a way of getting you to wake up and see the light, so to speak. Work hard on learning compassion and doing what you're meant to do - no shortage of work to be done! - and you'll get it all back. Even that feeling that you know something that no one else knows. You know what some of us know. You are part of a group here now and time is running short. Keep in touch and read the signs all the time. Digits are only a small part of what they are trying to show you. There is no such thing as coincidence. Use U2U if you have something private.

That book I mentioned earlier is really greek/russian not latin.
Don't know why I think this is important but I do.

The texts of Philokalia cover the writings of the Fathers of the Church from the fourth to the fourteenth century.

The translations to the English are from the Greek and the Russian, but there are also translations to different languages. Of these the Russian text, translated and edited by St. Theophan the Recluse, is the most interesting and consists of five volumes (with a sixth associated with them). This Russian work is called "Dobrotolubiye" and like the Greek original name it means "Love of Beauty"."

Thank you all so much for the great information and compassion. I know there are others out there that know the truth but none of my family or friends seem to get it. I am so happy to meet with like minded people.

I'm not sure about what's going on but I think the fact you're questioning yourself is a good sign that you have your senses about you. I've had lots of strange things happen myself so I can understand about that. Just know that there are people out there who understand and have had their own similar type of experience. And you don't have to go to church to be spiritual. Oh and I don't mediate either. My brain isn't quiet enough haha.

interesting post, sounds quite disorientating.

i've experienced couple of the things you mentioned, the "logical" answers i've dug up are that the out of sync feeling is related to anxiety. the triplication of numbers is not a case of you encountering them more frequently but a case of you paying particular attention to it when it happens.

Meditation takes practice. Rarely can someone do it easily the first time(s). We live in a very noisy environment. I don't mean noisy just with sounds either. We are raised to think the thoughts that society gives us rather than developing our own personal awareness. That's noise.

More and more people are slagging off meditation here. It's glaringly apparent that these people know nothing about it. You saw the signs that caused you to pose the question here. Use your intuition/heart to see/find your answer.

May I just suggest that you do start to practice some form of meditation. No props are needed. You don't need to practice anything after you learn to get rid of the noises in your head. After that, even a noisy room or any other distraction will not prevent you from meditation whenever you so choose. Well, there are some occasions but I won't go into that now because it doesn't apply at this stage for you. The more props you start with though, the more you will just need to divest later. You're looking inside yourself. External sensations are superfluous, unless you cannot find it within yourself to still your mind. It feels wonderful.

Once you start in earnest, you will find easier and easier. No time to start like the present.
