Influential Psychiatrist Radio Host Loses Job, Earned $1.3 Million From Drug Companies
www.medicalnewstoday.com
Psychiatrist Dr. Frederick K. Goodwin, host to the popular radio program The Infinite Mind, has lost his radio hosting job after Senator
Charles E. Grassley revealed that he had received $1.3 million from pharmaceutical companies during the period 2000-2007. Dr. Goodwin used to be
director of the National Institute of Mental Health.
How widespread this practice has been among media figures is unclear, as Dr. Goodwin is just the first one to be investigated. (visit the

On September 20th, 2005, he said that kids with bipolar disorder faced the risk of brain damage if they were not treated. He went on to say
that modern treatments, especially mood stabilizers "have proven both safe and effective in bipolar children."
What Goodwin did not reveal on the radio was that during that very day, September 25th, 2005, he had been given $2,500 by GlaxoSmithKline to lecture
on Lamictal - a mood stabilizing drug.
And so I hope that many other corrupt MSM dealers in death are brought to question too.
It is unreal that in today's society we have these types of people in a position of trust who abuse their place for pure profit.
but $1.3 million ... over 7 years...he must have been promoting some really nasty stuff on his listeners. It just goes to show the lengths at which
these drug companies will go to get a sale.
I'm deeply disgusted by this and feel really sorry for anyone who has used these drugs and had any side effects, either now or later on in life.

This should be investigated worldwide.
The pharmaceutical industry is influencing too much.
Doctors here were already ticked on their fingers for exclusively promoting some brands of medicine. Most of the time they refuted to give alternative
brands, even if you asked for it.
Same case with drugstores here, asking for brand-X and they will first provide you with brand-Y (including some of the worst side-effects).
The only reason: brand-Y provides more commission.
It seems the only concern is cash, and totally not human health.
I can imagine them saying 'Ah, who cares if you get some accelerated hearth activity, lower pulse, cholestowhata?'
(maybe little offtopic)
I live in europe and have been to the US for work/vacation a couple of years ago. One thing that reminds me from these trips is that there are sooooo
many medicine adds on TV.
I believe I should be dead if I didn't consume all these pills,
TV tried(and failed ofcourse) to convince me I couldn't be living healthy without them!

Well if people think these drugs are good for them they are wrong.
If you research into School shootings, suicides, and work related shootings you will notice something interesting.. Most of the people who committed
these acts were on some type of anti depressant.
