The US government has a new website, www.ready.gov... It's another attempt at scare mongering in the style of the old "duck and cover" advice
after WWII.
The fun thing is that these pictures are so ambiguous they could mean anything! Here are a few
interpretations.
warning: You might actually crack a smile

Yeah they're real ready, if you view it in Firefox you get an error:
"The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression."
What happened to the preview option?

Not only did I crack a smile, I laughed my ass off.

I almost wet myself. That was a great pick me up! The 'conserve oxygen by not farting' was the one that really got me. Gotta love the potty
humor. Works with my Firefox. Maybe they monitored you and got it fixed right away.

Hah! I liked it, and to think, I thought you were serious calling ready.gov fear mongering. Great interpretations: "After exposure to radiation it is
important to consider that you may have mutated to gigantic dimensions: watch your head."

That's weird, it works for me now also. I tried it 2X before.

Not new at all, actually quite an old site. I have referred people to it in the past just to get them acquainted with preparedness thinking. They have
to start somewhere and Ready.Gov is as good as any.
They even have handouts and booklets for those who do not use computers.
Edit to say, I did not pay attention tot he important link, HAaaa, funny as all get out!

Hurricaines, animal corpses and your new tattoo have a lot in common, think about it.
That was great. Thanks so much for posting such a rare treat here on ATS. It was genuinely funny.

Thanks a lot. That made me laugh on an otherwise sad day.
I'm keeping my flashlight handy just in case!

Hmm, an interesting website.
I'll need to look into this some more.
The 'other' link however, is absolutely hilarious. Great find lol.

Those are SO FUNNY! I laughed more than I did the first time I saw them. Thanks for the reminder.
