Source Ruh Roh! I wonder if this may escalate things even further.
I sure hope not. What do you guys think? Bad move for Iran?

on the fence with this one

Same here. Makes sense to hang the spy I suppose. If one side would just kind of quit provoking the other maybe they could live in peace and
harmony. Oh wait, Israel and Iran...
|
Well, look: if you are working as a spy and the target country discovers your deception, you're going to be punished--death is very probable. And to
be caught spying on Iran for Israel, its grand nemesis? Hell will freeze over before you get out of that one. This outcome should only be expected,
and I don't believe it is outside of Iran's reasonable rights to execute an individual found to be transmitting sensitive information to the
country's top rival. My personal opinion of right and wrong re: the nation's policies is irrelevant.
Time will tell if this will be a final straw for the growing enmity between Iran and Israel. It won't add any levity, that much is certain.

Good points. I hope this is not going to be the straw that breaks the camels back .

I'd have to agree with warrenb. I'm also on the fence on this one too. I think it's a given if you're a spy and you get caught, that punishment is
eminent. Even with the tensions between Iran and Israel, I'm not sure if it's a valid argument for provocation. It comes with the territory so to
speak.
I hope I made sense? Fending off the flu right now, so my head is a bit foggy.

Fair play Iran i say....
Maybe teach the Israeli's a well deserved lesson.
I mean surely the guy knew the consequences.
Israel thinks it can get away with anything, especially because they have America under their control.
|
For their part, Israel are denying they know anything, but that's to be expected I suppose.
No one has ever gone to war over a caught spy. It damages relations, but that's about it.
|
It wouldn't surprise me if this was no more than a propaganda event for Iran. This man probably ticked somebody off and they decided to declare him a
spy to make it look like Israel is involved. I no doubt that Israel has spies within Iran but this one just seems too convenient. You would think they
would have just kept an eye on the guy in order to catch other spies.

Very true, I don't ever recall a war because of a captured spy. It sure isn't helping anything though.

I doubt it's made anything that much worse. How low can relations go?
