I read with interest an article about the Perth Mint saying that it has suspended Gold Bullion orders as per this article..
www.theaustralian.news.com.au...
I then went to its webpage and looked around and come across a statement from the CEO about internet rumours and its when I found the second 'dot' point I realised they are out completely of reserves.
www.perthmint.com.au...

great way to make gold value ski rocket is to say your out and then when demand is crazy pull out the secret stash for big cash. I wonder where the nearest gold mind is so i can get digging and be a part of the new gold rush of the century.

Western Australia ( where the Perth Mint is located ) has a large gold industry and Kalgoorlie is known as the golden mile, so its not like we don't have our own supplies of gold, however for the Mint to state they are not processing new orders is telling.....telling me that demand has now seriously outstripped supply.
