Jewish Cartoons Mock Christians
www.rense.com
The comics displayed by Forward exploit anti-Christian suspicion and paranoia among volatile and even unstable segments of Judaism. They not
only fuel heighten anti-Christianity but could even stimulate violence against Christians. Such violence and persecution against Messianic Jews by
ultra-Orthodox in Israel is already tolerated by the Israeli government, local governing bodies, and most Israelis. (visit the link for the

Some more cartoons for discussion. I vividly remember the uproar when the Danish cartoons surfaced and the response from the Islamists. I think this
article would make for a good discussion to see how some feel about it. Please dont flame for posting this, this is just for discussion purposes so
lets keep it civil.

Yeah they really have the Christians down right. We need ones against the Jews and Muslims now, and finally the Abrahamic faiths will be seen for what
they are: a total charade.
Everyone knows the only god worth worshipping is Zeus.

Is it just me...
I do not find these funny...
Not at all...
maybe im not a religious enough person...
The only thing i will point out, is who wants to be that a bunch of mullahs will not start marching in the streets, calling for the deaths of the
cartoon artist...
I do not find humor in these... but if other people do...
Then they are funny for some people...
And if your offended, make one about some other religion...
Cause thats how you use freedom of speach

Aren't viewpoints amazing when they come from the other foot.
I'm still waiting for apologies from Christians for all those pleasantries they'd deemed acceptable in negative and demeaning regards to New
Age/Metaphysics/Spirituality - etc.

I don't find it funny, but neither do I find offensive. It's just someone's opinion.

I am an American Christian. I am grieved that American Christians apparently come across this way to some Jewish people. Obviously some things have
been said and done in a cavalier manner to alienate Christians from Jewish people in the Holy Land, and this makes me sad.
I think the cartoonists have pretty much pegged the "Left Behind" crowd, who have a very superficial understanding of eschatology (what they have
been told will happen in the end times) which doesn't really stand up to much scrutiny. Some Christians are all too happy to share their
cookie-cutter faith and, having been insulated and surrounded by Christian culture for so long and to such a degree that they have lost touch with how
offensive their views might be to others.
On the other hand, I hold many of the beliefs being ridiculed and yet I am not offended by the cartoons. It is easy to understand the cartoonist's
mis-characterization of these beliefs; certain Christian beliefs ARE somewhat confrontational, controversial, intolerant, and YES, offensive. The
Bible says people were offended at Jesus, too. So how can we be angry at people for being offended at us, even when we are being as respectful as
possible of their beliefs? It is a natural outgrowth of our beliefs that people will be offended. Our job is to be full of gentleness and respect in
spite of our differences. Isn't that everyone's job? All over the planet?
So what has actually changed in the past 2000 years? The biggest issue here may be the cavalier, plastic American manner in which the Gospel is being
presented in modern times. It comes off sounding, well, American, phoney and insincere. No wonder they feel the way they do.

I am not anti-Jewish, and having said that....this one is quite offensive indeed!
And there is NO comparison between this and Iran posting cartoons about Israelies, or the Dutch posting cartoons about Mohammed. Iran does not DEPEND
on Israel for their military budget! Iran would not have been WIPED OUT decades ago if it weren't for the technology, money, and support of Israel!
Iran does not owe their very EXISTENCE as a state to the Israeli people!
This is truly a case of biting the hand that feeds you. There is a simple solution for this problem too.

I've worked in the middle east, including Israel. Most jews there feel like they have finally established a state where they can be left alone to
their own beliefs. Often, the Christian evangelists with the least understanding are the ones who talk the most and get the most press.
That said, I have friends who are converted Jews, as well as converted muslims. Both of those faiths & cultures utterly reject anyone who becomes a
Christian. Messianic Jews generally lose all family when they convert, and are not welcome in any synagogues or social events.
If you wanted to [irony] make fun [/irony] of Israeli Jews, you could show the ones in government who badmouth Christians, who arrest messianic jews
for visiting jewish holy sites, the ones who publish cartoons like this..... going on "goodwill" speaking tours to churches throughout the southern
US to ask for donations "to help oppressed Jews return to Israel."
Everyone looks ghoulish, in the spotlight.
all the best.

And Christian cartoons mock... everyone that's not their denomination of Christian!
If Hindus, Muslims, Pagans, Jews, and so on are up for mockery, so are Christians.

Oh come on, lighten up a bit. Not every thing you see has to be interpreted as a call for genocide.
Tolerance is a two-way street - if someone wants to poke fun, you have to tolerate it, just as if you did with them.

Can you show me where I even mentioned genocide?
Tolerance is a two-way street - if someone wants to poke fun, you have to tolerate it, just as if you did with them.
Tolerance means to coexist, not harrass or torment. If someone is poking fun at you, they're not tolerating you, they're trying to create a rift
between you and them.
