Well, it is about time that the president elect chimed in on this matter. Up until this, he and his transition team have been conspicuously silent on
the matter.
Is this a harbinger of things to come . . . a requirement as part of a Democratic led loan/bailut/rescue?
Better yet, is this a good 'first step' in changing the face of the industry?

There may be some merit to this as it was reported in the news this morning that the UAW is taking a hard look at what they might be able to 'give
back' in a packaged plan to secure funding from the government.
