Although I haven't yet seen the video but I think it is clear that the kid really needed some expert help....the kid's in trouble...i think schools
should conduct child counseling more often.....

In today's edition of The Loop, Kevin interviews David Sarno, staff writer at the Los Angeles Times and their technology blog, about the
specifics of Abraham Briggs' suicide, which was broadcast live via webcam on Justin.tv.

I found this pretty interesting, so I figured I'd share it. From every other news story I've heard it seems that the encouragement from the people
watching is what pushed him into actually doing it. But, from what I heard there, it seems like it was already too late for him. Opinions?

Were there no moderators or admins on the network monitoring what was going on that day? Surely they could have shut off the live feed of his camera.
The website should be held accountable for allowing such a thing to be watched by potentially millions of people.

How many of you, have deliberately went and viewed the beheadings of the al-qaida videos a few years ago?
That Nick Berg thread seemed like it was stickied at the top for a year or more. The link was right there....Egging you on.
I only saw one of the beheading videos because a friend played it as I stood a few feet from the PC. I felt queezy and had the urge to
simply look away, but I could'nt...
How this fits in with this scenario im not sure.
My best friend comitted suicide 10yrs ago, he was 17 or 18. He attempted to make certain people feel guilty, I think he was greedy and ruined
peoples lives for self pitty.
If your this delusional, to plan somthing like this..where is your compassion for the people it would affect?
There are people out there that have been through alot. If some idiot wants to do somthing like this, I can completely understand how they
could not feel pitty for somone who would try to impact an innocent persons life like this.
I dont know its hard to think about.
