The person I responded to was talking about honest politicians, and I used that example. And yes, I
personally believe it was a lie. So many
lies were told in the course of the Iraq action, by a number of governments.
I mean, heres a good example - do you remember this little gem, from Rumsfeld about WMD's?
"We know where they are. They're in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat."
Except "we" didn't, and that was a big fat porky pie.
But hey, lifes all about opinions isn't it?
Being a politician isn't about being honest. Its about manipulation, and selectivity. Its about getting the votes by promising the world and
delivering less than a tenth of what you promised.
And yes, Obama will tell his fair share of lies, as has
every single president that came before him and likely every one after him.
Ain't no such thing as an honest politican.
