drudge has no report of any seismic activity in edmonton. surely a meteor would have left something on the register.

I wish I was close but I have an ocean to jump...
Feh.
Good point though. Get an ATS hit team on scene...
Takers?
If I didn't have to work tomorrow I would be on my way. Best I can do is talk to my friends there and see what the scoop is.

Thanks for your report.
Was it one large flash that you saw, or multiple flashes?
have you seen the news camera video posted on the first page>
I am trying to determine if that vid is a loop of 1 flash.
thanks

So just to recap what we know so far....
It probably was more then 1.
It made multiple flashes so that could be just there was many of them.
There is no seismic activity that i could find.
1 "landed" in a field but didn't make a loud boom. It was the size of a helicopter at least and some people say bigger.
It changed colors in the sky as it fell.
So with knowing the above. A meteor the size of a helicopter hitting a field should make a very very loud and large boom I would think. It would
probably have some type of seismic activity registered if it was the size they are saying.
Would anything i wrote be incorrect?

We just saw one flash. It was like a huge camera flash. I think I am too far to have seen the following fireworks.

At least this story seems to go against those ufo debunkers who say, when there is a mass sighting why, didnt anyone have a camera to take footage.
Goes to prove to them that not every single person on the earth has a camera.

Massive seismic activity, IF the size is as stated.
Easily measurable on the Richter scale.

www.630ched.com...
Witnesses are phoning in reports that a 'meteor' type object has exploded above Edmonton at around 5:25pm.
One eye-witness to the mystery flying object was pilot Slade Smith - who saw the object from his chopper as it exploded into a "really big white
flash".
Slade says he believes the object was a meteor, travelling at around 100 kilometres an hour.
Other reports say the object was last seen flying over Manitoba.
this doesn't make it sound like it hit the ground.
www.cbc.ca...
"This huge light in our kitchen window lit up our whole kitchen. It kinda flashed a couple of times. It was really bright, it was a different light
than lightning," said Sabrina Schneider who lives just outside Lloydminster on the Saskatchewan-Alberta border.
This should cofirm the news camera is not on a loop.

I live in Lloydminster and it turned the night sky into day for about 5 seconds before breaking up to the south. I've seen fireballs before and this
was brighter by a factor of ten.
