Pentagon Hit by Unprecedented Cyber Attack
www.foxnews.com
The Pentagon has suffered from a cyber attack so alarming that it has taken the unprecedented step of banning the use of external hardware
devices, such as flash drives and DVD's, FOX News has learned.
The attack came in the form of a global virus or worm that is spreading rapidly throughout a number of military networks.
"We have detected a global virus for which there has been alerts, and we have seen some of this on our networks," a Pentagon official told FOX News.
"We are now taking steps to mitigate the virus." (visit the link for the full news article)

I heard somewhere once that the next time another nation attacks the US, it will begin with a cyber attack. With China performing regular cyber
attacks on the US networks, are they likely behind this one?
The article mentions an Army press release a week ago about a cyber threat. Has anyone heard about the specific virus or any threats leading up to
this?

Isn't this how Terminator started with a cyber attack? Seriously though, my bet would be china testing out systems.

I'll go with China, not planning anything just testing and being a pain in the arse. Seems to be happening more frequently though.

China will be dragged through the streets once they find out what is LOADED in the "honey traps".
Sure they are attacking, sure they are acquiring software and data but it is no doubt tainted to begin with. I say leave the doors open and make no
comment about it to the media. Play dumb... Or are they already doing that? Why would they acknowledge the attacks are successful in a public forum of
any type? Because they are really WINNING the cyberwar... Will see!

there are 2 completely different nodes, cyber attacks do not reach inner level which is kept seperate. and on the inner node, most are admin'd with
1028, 512, 256 encrypt, can be set to auto, fingerprint scan, iris scan depending on PTL (presumed threat level). may have been revised and/or
upgraded over the years. of course, this is all speculative, crack n' smacks like to brag.
